For years I took soap suds enemas, it goes back to what I was given by my mother, and what my friends mother gave to her. It was either Ivory bar or Ivory flakes, and a very strong solution. As I got older, by about 35, Ivory had become more of an irritant and less pleasurable. That's when I switched Castile Enema soap packets, and now mostly tap water or salt and/or soda.
My first wife had nausea problems with soap, would get pretty queasy, and even vomited on one occasion, that is when we decided salt was a better option for her. Because Peg finally came out, liking girls better than boys we split, but every few years we would get together for enema play.
My second wife loved what she called super soaper enemas, that would have been way too strong for me. But she had no nausea problems and loved the really explosive results.
However, probably because of the way I was brought up and taught, enemas were always in threes, and two were rinses, not to say their weren't occasions we didn't do more.
Another friend from L.A., who had once worked at Grand Dames still holds the record for the most enemas I have ever given in an evening. We had gone for dinner and checked out some S&M clubs in New York City, sadly nobody into enemas. So we went back to the hotel and she just kept coming back for more! Nothing like it before or since!
But getting back to original question, yes, I used to rinse after soap suds enemas, thanks mom!
And those I introduced to enemas were taught the trilogy, and most I met who were into SSE's opted for a rinse.
