Not arguing for a second about how stupid the method in the film is; I literally got chills watching it, seeing what could go wrong.
BUT, when he cuts the cath the balloon should deflate, right? Unless the balloon is defective.
So why inflate it in the first place? I don't get that, unless it is to seat it.
He could just use a "red rubber" type straight cath; basically what he wants is a urethral stent from the look of things. I guess the big deal for him is it retracting into the penis, but it's not worth the risk.
bbMichel: When you do yours, you may wish to clamp it only on the portion of the catheter past the part where the valve for the balloon splits off. The reason is, if you clamp on the main catheter, even if you use a plastic clamp, you run some risk of damaging the smaller tube and making it hard to deflate the balloon.
