Relief from anxiety and stress

I could not agree more about stress relief, the feeling of peacefulness and the shedding of accumulated spiritual debris while sitting there shedding the enema. And the sense of physical lightness after a long unhurried series. (I find the lightness even greater after colonics, which I can't afford at the moment as much as I would like...). Now that research is emerging about the connections between colon health and mental function, we may even have science on our side for the first time since Dr Kellog!

The brain-gut connection? Ansolutely! We experience it every time during an enema, although I can't scientifically explain it. Stress relief is one of the reasons why I take enemas. The physical-emotional link is legit.

The thoughts and preparation for a series of enemas always is my way of reliving stress ,im in another world and enjoy the feeling and mind clearing effects ,im at peace and happy to enjoy the pleasures of enemas

The thing about enemas I find most most intriguing is that it is a relatively simple procedure that is amazingly sublime!

Yesterday was a good example. I had been taking a new medication that was causing some gastric distress (the opposite of needing an enema) as well as abdominal pain and bloating. On the advice of my doctor, I discontinued the meds...but the discomfort continued, albeit on a drastically lower level. Finally, I decided to clear my system with a couple of nice warm enemas.

Whether there was any therapeutic value in the enemas or not, I felt the stress and anxiety wash out of me. By the time hubby got home in the late afternoon, I was a different person from the one he left earlier in the day. Again, my experience was mine and mine alone, however, I do attribute a series of warm enemas to my mental well being.

And this morning? I feel like myself again...and that's a welcome change!

Old folks used to refer to enemas sometimes as "levelers" because they level you out.

It relaxes the mind and the body.

Only trouble is,that you are not always in the right place for someone to give you an enema. Or to take one yourself.

To everyone who says, "enemas make me feel good," I agree. There is a great deal of relief associated with a thorough enema (usually, series), and the "empty feeling" after is just glorious. I'd often try to sneak an enema session in while my wife was out shopping - but instead of being stress relieving, I'd worry about her coming back early and catching me on the pot with the enema bag hanging from the shower rod. Worse would be if I had a mate over who was giving me enemas. She was aware of enema activities and did not object, but I liked privacy.

I have to admit, that is what most of my enemas REALLY relieve!

It's amazing how a simple procedure like an enema can provide a very therapeutic release of stress, tension, and frustration. I had a few hours to myself earlier and after perusing Zity Biz for a bit, decided that it was time for a coffee enema session. I took a quickie bulb enema or two, to assure I was cleaned out enough to be able to retain the coffee long enough to get full benefit.

After about 30 minutes, and preparing a couple of quarts of solution, I crawled into a hot bath and began the first enema. While it was very easy to accept and retain, my mind wandered to some of those more enjoyable sessions and interactions of the past. Needless to say, my whole body relaxed except for that part that easily reacts to that type of stimulation. My focus on the beautiful vintage bag, reminded me of some special times of the past.

I retained the first of 2 enemas for 15-20 minutes and refrained from that ultimate release. Once expelled, I took a little while to hydrate and enjoy the feelings of lightness and peace. The second enema was much like the first, however those more involuntary reactions began to take over. Again, I retained the enema for the suggested time, but couldn't resist that ultimate outcome. Some simple cleanup after expelling from the usual locations, I discovered a sense of peace, calm, and a relaxed state seldom enjoyed as a result of other efforts.

I suppose the only thing would be the sharing of those things that an adept partner could provide. Certainly a good massage would be heavenly. No pill or medication has ever provided this level of relaxation and enjoyment. Who says enemas aren't a "healthy" indulgence?

Some here, would say..... but then, We all respect other's opinions as theirs and I am equally sure they do ours.

A nice 2 plus qt SSE or Coffee enema retained for a time then released really does seem to release tension and anxiety. After a colonic I feel very calm and relaxed. It has no erotic element there but gives me a strong feeling of well being. An enema session at home is often followed by a sexual release. This usually further adds to the tension relief.

As a youngster, I like the original poster of this subject, was given enemas for the purpose of helping me to calm down and regroup.

Seldom was it to purge my gut of an impaction due to constipation or such other malady.

On only one occasion, do I remember it being a negative experience, and that was due to the fluid being gravity fed into me at too fast a rate unintentionally by the giver that time. It both scared me and hurt. It was quickly remedied !

Always after the gentle administration of these treatments, I would be calmer and easier to deal with...and I actually wanted then,

to be more cooperative with who ever was present and what ever it was I had to do at the time.

This fresh positive behavior of mine would sometimes last for days, and longer at other times.

I do believe that part of this satisfaction on my end, was the personal intimate attention that I desired and needed and therefor certainly got during the treatments.

Additionally, the enema treatment itself, as many of us know, would leave me calm and satisfied and relaxingly cleansed and that was certainly a benefit for not only myself, but those who had me in their care.

It saddens me to think that so many of us, feel that these enemas are something that we should not do anymore for children

Years ago there was a British musical called "stop the world I want to get off." I think a lot of us feel that way sometimes, how mentally we need to escape from the realities of a tense world.

I love mysteries, (good) movies, hikes in the woods and spending weekend afternoons with my girls. It's also occurred to me during an enema that I'm giving my brain a cleanse from reality. I find it's impossible to think of anything else when there's a tube up my behind and I'm deep breathing through the cramps and trying to hold a bag of warm water inside me. I think that's why I usually feel more mentally relaxed after an enema. Especially for women who need some me-time in their lives, an enema bag can be one of their best friends.

I posted earlier that any sex act/fetish can be a stress release. And a self administered enema, like others is a break from the pressures of life. But for me, the BEST stress relief comes from a hard workout at the gym. Endorphins! And endorphins can come from a lot of things including sex, spankings etc. So my advice to any of you - if you get off on enemas or any fetish, keep it coming!!! Walking works wonderfully well in inducing endorphin release. Not a walk from TV to fridge of course, but nice long brisk walks. And not even necessarily in Nature. I do my hours-long walks in urban environments, following wherever my nose takes me. Works quite well and with more sights to see than in a dark and gloomy forest ...

I have always found that a ' good enema ' whether partnered or solo was / is always a great way to relief what stress I am may have had prior to the enema . Like others have indicated , I to am very physically active as to walking and my ' gym time ' which has in my senior years been of great benefit physically , emotionally and mentally as I progress through my life . Yes ….. a combination of disciplined physical fitness and my penchant for internal cleanliness are the way I relieve any life-generated ' stress ' . Works for me !!!

Like you, I walk almost every day, going about 2 miles. I find that being in the sunshine is addictive, and if I don't get out in it, I get fidgety...

Going to the gym for a good workout has always been important to me. When this coronavirus fuckery came about it took a lot of discipline to find other ways at home to replace the gym visits. @sailingmaster seems to have figured it out and he sort of inspired me to be more proactive on my own. I don't know when - or if - I will go back to a gym, but I am not missing out on the workouts!! I grew up on a combination of isometric and kinetic exercises vs weights and that gives you a lot of flexibility outside of a gym.

Is anyone else feeling a buildup of anxiety and stress, especially during the past month when it seems all hell is breaking loose in our cities? I'm feeling it in my gut. And I am soooo over the coronavirus! I wish some people would stop being idiots, wear the mask and do the right things, so we can get through this and move on!

I'm not sure anything will help until herd immunity or a vaccine comes along. It might take a year. Personally I dislike using a mask but still comply with the new Crapafornia order. If a good enema fixes you up though, I am not one to complain about it. I have had relatively few cases around me, but a co worker with my niece just came down with it. Luckily she stayed home and everyone in the office tested negative. I have a few hundred employees and we saw 1 case about a month ago. We take everyone's temps every day.
