I saw this in the news the other day and thought people would appreciate it. Apparently, "anogential distance" is the medical term for "taint size":

There's no real reason to scoff at this anymore than other types of medical studies, and certainly no reason to do the whole 'tax dollars at work' routine. Since apparently this variable was known to determine more or lesser fertility levels in (stud) animals, there is a valid reason to wonder how this effects humans.
And while the whole thing sounds funny and embarrassing, if it's never studied, researchers will never know what the determining factors really are.
I'd also suppose that depending on the news source and their own (often ideological) take on the study, it can presented as a frivolous and naughty waste of time or something more serious that just happens to involve sex parts. Maybe it''s also thinking out of the box. You know, in movies it's usually the hero who ends up saving the day who comes up with an 'out of the box' solution. Of course, this is no movie and there is no hero involved in such a study, but still.
Here's a better and more detailed explanation of the study.

Just as a matter of curiosity who thinks these things up?
Probably people who are curious about many things other people don't think curious ... 😃 😃
