People, people, people. This question "Enema Bag" or "Fleet Enema" is like debating is the glass 1/2 full or 1/2 empty.
There are so many variables that need to be taken into consideration.
Is the person needing the enema because they are constipated, are they impacted, are they having surgery, is the surgery GI involving the rectum or intestines, is the patient pregnant or giving birth, what is the age of the person, have they ever had enemas before and do they like things anal and like feeling things being inserted into the rectum.
My point is if you are a doctor and going to examine a patient you surely are going to ask questions first so you have an idea of what may needs to be looked at more than something else.
I will give 2 examples of what I am saying
1. When working on the floors in the hospital I had a patient who told doctor she was a little sluggish and bowels were not doing what she wanted them to do. Doc said no problem I will order you some fleet enemas. So he ordered fleet enema each morning for two days. So I to went to patients room, told her doc ordered fleet enema for you. She was about 40 years old, 6' tall, 220 lbs. So I had her turn on her side, lift her right leg up to her chest, added some lube to her anus and told her what I was doing and I inserted the enema nozzle as deep as I could and gave it a big squeeze and she says let me know when you do it, I said it is all done. The point is for this lady a fleet did nothing. The next day she received 2 full bag enemas.
2. I had a patient having surgery and doc wrote order, TWE, tap water enema, till clear. Ok, got the enema bag, went to the patients room, told him what I needed to do. Wife was sitting in chair in the corner knitting. He started to complain and before I could say anything wife says "Henry shut up and take your enemas" and he did. It took 7 enemas till he was clear and his wife did not miss a stitch in like 2+ hours. Thank God he was able to walk to the bathroom each time.
So you have to look at everything before you take or give enemas.
That is why shoes come in so many different sizes. My X's mother wore 9EEE, no joke.
