Check out www.extremerestraints.com, they might fullfill your needs, dont know the exact prices, but i do not think it's to much, great quality for the money ! call me if u wanna try it out ;;
Call local hospitals in the area to see if they have old, used, or surplus tables they dont need anymore. Sometimes they will give it to you just to get rid of it.
Best bet is to setup a permanent exam room like in a spare bedroom or basement. Get a regular box table like a Ritter or a Midmark and be sure it has stirrups. In the long run this is easier, more realistic, and fun than a portable setup.
As we expect our new kids to be born soon, we had to get rid of our old exam chair which was even electrically powerde and as we do not want to stop playing we gor ourselves a "foldable" chair that can carry up to 140 KGs. From a german manufacturer called Joydivision. Not quite cheap but we can store it under our bei in the bedroom so we have all the equipment right at hand if we feel the need to...
Personally I use a simple, sturdy folding table covered with a blanket.I don't have stirrups, but I'm looking at ways of trying to add some.....
I haven't read through the complete list of postings on this subject but I have found old doctor's office furniture (exam tables, etc) on Craig's List, e-bay and Amazon if I'm not mistaken~
Finally, Some Random Guy finished his stirrups project. Why don't you tell them about it? Nah, let me. So, a few days ago, he was telling me about a project and I was like, what kind of project? As usual I got the "You'll see" answer from him. Words which tend to either excite or worry me.Anyways, he spent a considerable amount of time making noise, sounds like welding to me. He made me watch him doing it, well, actually all I could see were walls and just heard a loud buzzing noise. Well, it turned out he was welding stirrups to his exam table! 😮And I must say it was impressive. It was both creative and well, STURDY.

I bought a pair, they are ok and but in order to fix them well the table or chair in which you'll adapt it may be "marked" by the pressure of the grips.
Is something like this:http://sites.google.com/site/xamminer2/_/rsrc/1254355989964/Table1-large-brt-62.JPG?height=255&width=420what you had in mind?xamminer, aka andyhttp://sites.google.com/site/xamminer2/xamminer
Right now (3/1/10) Costco has a massage table on sale for about $150. It would be pretty easy to create some stirrups from random items at Home Depot. The table is made to fold and put away and i think it comes with a case. Have fun!
I have a Hamilton Exam Table for sale - in excellent shape! Comes with stirrups, adjustable pelvic tilt, and a large supply of paper exam gowns; has five drawers (three on side and two in front), and a built in step to get on to the table. Willing to make a deal on it ($350 OBO) - retails new for over $1,000! I have two tables - I am selling one. My wife and I have one set up in our bedroom and use it has a dresser when it is not in use for play! (Savannah, GA USA)
I have a MidMark #104 brown exam table with pull out stirrups andpull out 'catch pan' that I will sell for $400 cash. It would haveto be picked up, as I will not ship it. It is in the Springfield,IL area. I'm trying to downsize a bit.Dan
I have been looking for an inexpensive exam table. Found one today for $150.00. You can find good deals mostly on Craigslist. Second best bet is E-bay. Problem in buying a used table is that the seller usually wants you to pick the table up. They can be heavy and bulky to move around.
I have a Ritter in great shape. FREE until this weekend when I will be forced to dispose of it. Moving. In Savannah GA.
Oh my, why I am not in Savannah right now?Lady Teddy, who would love a real exam table, but uses a massage table for now
And, what is wrong with a massage table? It was my Grandmother who got me started with massage, and the table has been in the spare bdrm for years. And, I can explain it in the guest room; however, an exam table with stirrups would be a table of a different color.
Craigs List. I have known playdocs who got them free just by going and picking them up when a doctors office got new stuff. Always check!!
For those searching Craigs List, there are a few sites that aggregate the national list. You can look for "search craigslist" and find them. One is "...tempest" and the other one I use now is adhuntr do t com . Note that there is no "e" in that word. You can search by region of the country in the US. For those willing to drive a few hours for a bargain.
If anyone looks at this thread and is interested in a portable GYN table, you could try this one:http://www.roberthunter.com/products/GYN.cfmYou can also buy a portable massage table for less than $300 and if you're handy, you can attach some aftermarket stirrups like these:http://www.universalmedicalinc.com/Clinton-Treatment-Table-Option-Stirrups-p/cl-010.htmThis one is nice, but really expensive, and it wouldn't fit in a closet:http://www.massagetools.com/oakworks-womens-imaging-ultrasound-table.html
I have a portable massage table which I use as an exam table. I had a roller for table paper added to one end so I can have the white paper on a roll to cover the table surface. Since I am the patient, I had never considered adding stirrups to the table, but that is a thought. Even though it is not realistic, it could be interesting to go into the stirrups.
