This is one of these topics where i read it & go "Oh i want to see all of THESE responses". Plays right into my medfet.
The interesting thing i gathered was how many nurses specifically instructed to leave it untied. Since there is a concern about maintaining patients' modesty, and what are the ties for in the first place. And how long does it take to untie it anyway where it would be considered a time saver (unless someone tends to tie in tough knots). And the fact the nurse makes it a point to say it.
I've seen videos for women physicals where the gown is opened on either the front or back. The back opening would obviously be a pain to tie & it's only the back where there's essentially no private parts. Ladies with the opening in the back have to drop their gown to their waste for breast exams.in an "all or nothing" state of cover.
Then i watch the front opening breast exams, & i love the way docs fold back & carefully methodically tuck one side back to examine a given side at a time.I enjoy watching that, & probably would also enjoy doing it.
In the cases where you're NOT instructed to specifically leave it open, i wanted to see who might like to tie it for the enjoyment of having the doctor untie it to feel the gown being untied as a dynamic of feeling the "he's untying my gown to expose me to himself so he can look at me & examine me where i would otherwise be covered for modesty" effect..Similar to the preference of either the doctor lowering your panties or asking you to do so yourself.
For play exams, i'd have the nurse specifically tell you to tie it, so i could have the privilege of untying it.
As a male, i've made an interesting transition with the whole gown concept. I had gone the first 30 years or so of my life without ever being offered a gown. All exams were done in my undies, the same way I've been typically dressed at home, so it's not like modesty was ever an issue. So when i was first offered paper gowns, i never bothered with them, especially where the doctor was male. Then as time went by & in recent years i'd be examined by women, the new nurse practitioner & now my lady dermatologist, it was more about compliance & making THEM feel comfortable (that i wasn't being aggressive or anything by insisting on being practically nude in front of them).
