I am having some stress incontinence issues after prostate surgery. My urologist suggester I see a physical therapist that specializes in this condition. I had no idea howthis would help but I was interested to see if this could help.
The Sue, the therapist, was a very attractive women in her 30's. We discussed stress incontinence and how the body works etc.
Then she said that it is important for her to know the strength and condition of my pelvic floor muscles.
After she left the room I was to undress from the waist down, lay on my right side on the exam table and put a sheet over my lower body.
She came back in and sat down on a chair directly behind my butt. She the explained what we were about to do. She lifted the sheet, lubed her finger and inserted it into my anus. She then asked me to do a series of different muscle contractions. Squeeze and hold for 10 seconds, squeeze as many times in 10 seconds as I could. This went of for about 5 minutes, but definitely seemed longer.
After I dressed we talked about various core exercises etc that could help my condition.
She told me that my pelvic floor muscles are strong so that when we have our next appointment I would be leaving my pants on. I was disappointed.
It was a very strange, and not unpleasant, feeling laying there talking with a woman while her finger was inserted in my anus.
