@Moms_Egirl
I'm sorry about you medical problems. Getting old and sick is a real bitch, but we have to try and carry on.
Miralax does work to soften poo, and keep it soft even if it stays in you for several days. And it really does soften poo. It's non-toxic so you can take more, if needed. It's not fast acting, so don't expect it to make you poo in the morning. Some people put it in their drinks at every meal.
I'm not sure what good the Maalox does. AFAIK, it's not especially laxative. Do you, perhaps, mean Milk of Magnesia?
If you doctor is OK with enemas to help you poo, there are a number of “Trans Anal Irrigation Systems”. Essentially all are fancy enema bags, some with added Higgenson accelerator bulbs, and special nozzles to help you retain the solution while sitting on the toilet. These are either contoured nozzles that you press against your anus or balloons that go inside you rectum sand are air inflated. Once in place, you can relax and comfortably fill yourself and after a while you get the urge and poo.
Some such systems are:

Several of these vendors have various systems (balloon & cone) with more or fewer features. Insurance may pay for some as they can be expensive but have a chat with your doctor who seems to be receptive to enema therapy.
With any of them, making yourself poo while seated on the toilet is petty easy and, IMO, comfortable. Message me if you have questions.
