I've long been a student ( 1998 ) of medical fetish and what makes us the way were are. Recent conversations with one of our "bright stars" leads me to ponder just who we are. I welcome public/private suggestions, extensions, contradictory classifications what have you. My taxonomy of the field would run something like this (now remember additions to my classification are most welcome:
Group I "I Am Curious (Yellow) " These are people that roam the web looking for love, excitement, sexual gratification through medical (fill in the blank) i.e enema, creative roping, physical examination or simply people who like to join. Their attention spam here is roughly that of a four year old at a birthday party. They join and are never heard from again.
Group II "Hunters and Gatherers" These visit to plunder our sizeable and beautifully image collection for some reason - either they like to study anatomy or need visualization for self-gratification.
Group III "Long-Time Chatters" Those intrpid folks who hold the site together - not particularly interested in getting or giving cyberprocedures - they find this a nice home away from the drudgery of the real world.
Group IV "Fisherman" Those who come to read the mail (Forum), look for play partners (most often unproductively) or generally soak up the atmosphere
Group V "Insatiably Bitten" These are people who live, read, eat and sleep medical fetish. They can't look at a person without thinking "I wonder how that one would look in my stirrups" These people talk medical fetish and practice - they have voice and cam capability and aren't afraid to "fire them up" They paint a broad brush with Yahoo, Skype, MSN, Paltalk, Chatropolis.
So have I left anything out - both private and public discussion of this would be appreciated!
