I'm a medical professional and I work in a teaching hospital in NYC. Each year we are required to do all the blood work and get all the tests the the hospital wants in order to keep our credentials current. One of those things involves a physical exam done by a doctor on staff.
Most years it's a quick and unremarkable event, but last year I had a rather interesting experience. I reported to the staff health center and was greeted by a young woman physician who I knew mostly from staff meetings and occasional professional interaction. I did know that she was a competent and professional doctor, but I had heard that she was also a bit of a practical joker and quite mischievous.
When she realized that I was there for my medical exam she asked if I would prefer to have another doctor do the exam since we knew each other and she didn't want me to be embarrassed. I told her that I was sure there wasn't anything that she could do that would embarrass me. She raised and eyebrow and said, "Oh really? Are you sure?"
I could tell that she had taken my statement as a challenge and I started to get a little nervous, but I held my ground and repeated that I was confident that I could withstand whatever she dished out.
"Okay," she replied, "you've been warned."
She smirked and led me into an exam room and told me to take everything off and put on a gown. What she didn't know was that I was hoping that she would do her best to embarrass me. So, after changing and sitting there I waited to see what would transpire.
She came back into the room, but she wasn't alone. She had two female medical students with her and by the look on their faces I got the impression that they were in on what she was planning. She pulled up a stool and sat down in front of the exam table and asked me to stand up in front of her while the two med students stood right behind her.
When I was standing she explained to the students that she liked to begin every exam with a full assessment of the patients overall condition.
She then looked at me and told me to please remove my gown so she could see all of me.
I must have blushed, but I wasn't about to let on that I was embarrassed so I simply pulled the gown off and stood there completely naked in front of them. She looked up at me briefly with a little smile on her face and then looked down at my groin. She didn't say anything for the longest time and then she looked up at me again and said,
"Well, the first thing I want to mention is that you should never feel inadequate because of your penis size, lots of men have small penis'."
I was taken by surprise, as were the med students. They both looked at me for a reaction and then tried their best not to burst out laughing.
That was the only time a doctor has mentioned my penis size and it was obviously done as a way of giving me a hard time. I'm sure she wouldn't have done it under other circumstances. It was rather embarrassing and I actually got a real kick out of it.
