Thanks, Susie. I'm glad to take one for the team. It took the Super Salve a few years to degrade the tip of the hose, but it did happen and you know how some of us get so attached to their favorite equipment.
Here is the list of ingredients in Super Salve, for future reference if anyone wants to know: Olive oil, organic chaparral leaf, comfrey leaf, echinacea flower, hops clower, usnea moss, beeswax, cocoa butter, sweet almond oil, vitamin E oil, essential oils of lemon, lemon grass, lavender, tea tree and cajaput.
The ingredients in Burt's Bees Res Q Ointment are similar: sweet almond oil, olive oil, beeswax, cocoa butter, wheat germ oil, tocopheryl acetate, tocopherol (Vitamin E), lavender oil, comfrey leaf and root extracts - so it would probably have the same effect as Super Salve.
Maybe I'll just stick with K-Y for now to lubricate the nozzle. However, Super Salve and Res Q Ointment would be perfectly fine to use for a sore tush when you're not taking enemas.
