Fleet Naturals - has anyone seen or tried these yet?

According to Fleet and other sources on the web, it appears that Fleet is trying to appeal to more "recreational" enema users - "Created specifically for rectal cleansing, Fleet Naturals is the first and only ready-to-use enema mild enough for daily use." - http://www.phospho-soda.com/fleet_enemas.php

"We've always known that some of our consumers were using Fleet enemas for reasons other than to relieve constipation, so we wanted to develop a product that would meet the needs of those users and provide them with a safe way to cleanse and frequently if desired," said Emily Klopp, senior brand manager for Fleet Naturals. http://houseoflemay.blog-city.com/fleet_makes_it_neat__naturally.htm The company is hoping to attract a gay market (but not specifically gay)that will use the product as an anal douche, rather than a constipation remedy.

“Elective rectal cleansing” is the purpose of the product, and it is not intended for relief of constipation. "The Fleet Naturals line appears in a mocha-colored box and has important differences from its famous green-boxed forebear. Whereas the traditional enema contains a laxative because it is chiefly intended to relieve constipation, Fleet Naturals has no active ingredient but contains aloe to enhance the sought-after fresh sensation. The original version used a petroleum-based lubricant on its tip, but the new one uses a water-based lube, a nod to the fact that it may be deployed in close proximity to sexual intercourse with latex condoms that can break when they interact with petroleum products."

“They’re bringing a new SKU onto the shelf in their product category by having something that’s distinct in the marketplace,” Wilke said. “It may be hard to grow the market but they can steal a share from another aspect of the category. The market can also be people who are using showerheads.” (LOL!)

I discovered the product on the shelf with the other disposable enemas at my local Walgreens (sold in packages of two). The box even looks different than other boxed disposable enemas. After reading the box, I of course wanted to try it.

These disposables are 9 oz. - the Fleet enema Extra, advertised as a larger volume disposable enema, is 7.8 oz. I tried the product by administering myself one in the knee-chest position. After holding the enema in this position for about five minutes, I felt no discomfort or urgency to evacuate. I sat on the toilet for another 5 -10 min., and still did not feel any urgency to "go." I went ahead and evacuated naturally. I did not experience any cramping, bloating or excessive gas. I produced a fairly firm bowel movement that I had not realized I had present in me, along with the evacuation of the fluid. Evacuation of the liquid was completed quick and easily, and I did not experience any later residual effects such as leakage, irritation or even gas. Actually just a nice clean, refreshed feeling. The main ingredient in this disposable enema is aloe.

All I can say for the product is that is does make me feel a bit fresher "back there." I think it would make a nice follow up for my regular enemas, but that's about all. 😃

:-\I also have tried new Natural Fleet. As you have said no urgency to go... I think the product is a good idea so I have contacted Fleet Co. and suggested that they should make this like the new EXTRA size enema or larger. It is a shame that they admit to catering the the GAY group. Enemas did not start with homosexuals. They started for Cleaness and Ilness prevention many years BC.

I suggest all who have tried the "Naturals", you too should email Fleet about coming out with a Larger Product. You can even suggest that they come out with an Aloe concentrate to add to a 2-quart bag.

I actually did just that. I submitted some comments on the product through the Fleet Naturals web page (contact us tab), and I suggested that they offer a larger version, perhaps along with something like the "Bagenema" that they used to carry.

I also asked if they planned more varieties, since the name is "Naturals," plural. I gave them a generally good review for their product, as I think they are on the right track here... Just need some improvements.

It seems from some of what I read, Fleet also acknowledges they are aware there is a small percentage of people that are not gay, and like enemas for "other" reasons than douching in preparation for gay anal sex, or relief of constipation. They put that percentage as pretty small (like 2.3% of the population, or something like that). Of course I would bet that like myself, none of the members here were "polled," lol.

What kind of struck me the most was Fleet's ad campain plans for the product - actually meant to be humorous. Maybe Fleet may next, someday, develop a product truly appealing to us "klismos." It seems like now is a good time to let them know that WE are out there too!

I have received an email back from a Fleet representative by the name of "Ann," in response to the suggestions and comments I had submitted regarding the new Fleet Naturals product. Here is a portion of that email I received, regarding my suggestion that the product could come in or with a larger volume delivery system:

"..As for a larger version of this product, the only size available is the 133 ml bottle. Again thank you for taking the time to contact Fleet and for your suggestions on this new product, we truly appreciate you taking the time to share with us your thoughts on improvement of this product and comments on what you think of the product it self.."

The email also said:

".. We appreciate your comments on our new Fleet® Naturals and I will forward your suggestions for this product to the appropriate personnel for review.."

The email was from Ann, Medical Affairs, Fleet Laboratories, and gave a phone number I could call.

I'm thinking, what the heck - I don't think Fleet would consider it rude at this point, after they have released a product that they have almost came straight out as marketing as an anal douche, for preparation for, or in conjunction with, a sex act, to tell them that I'm a person that likes enemas, and that I like them a LOT, and just getting an enema is like, um, the "sex" part, for me!

In fact it was after all, one of their products getting put up my rear for most of my youth that is most likely what has fostered the enema fascination I have now!

Fleet is just beginning to acknowledge (publicly) that there are people that take enemas for other reasons than constipation... Um, people put things up their butts? ...hmmm.

This isn't just a "gay" thing either. A lot of guys here I'm sure would be quick to attest to that fact, according to what I've read in other posts to this forum. Also, I know and have communicated with a lot of women here, and other sites that also like things up their butts. Straight, bi, gay, lesbian, male and female.

Maybe Fleet could get those disposable balloon nozzles like you see cheap on ebay into the drugstores under their name. Why not, they used to sell a disposable enema bag that held about 2qt., if I remember correctly. Now that would be a nice combination a lot of people here would probably not turn their nose up at, especially with the convenience of getting it from an ordinary drug store! Ahhhhh, and the embarrassment of buying THAT thing! lol

Fleet could probably get a lot of our business, if they knew what to do. 😉

Today was the first time I'd ever heard of these things! I was on a totally G-rated site (I swear I wasn't looking at porn - yet) when an ad for Fleet Naturals popped up. It was very interesting.

The marketing is intriguing, to say the least. There were two pages of text for the product, plus a "how to" link, which showed the recommended insertion technique, and positions. I enjoyed all this very much, and it made me terribly horny.

I have mixed feelings about this product. On one hand, I'm thrilled that Fleet seems to be marketing enemas for purely recreational reasons. Love it. Wouldn't it be cool if enemas became more popular as a form of sexual recreation? But then I wouldn't feel so special, ha ha.

On the other hand, I'm not convinced that the Fleet marketing people know what they are trying to sell. This is marketing as a "rectal cleansing" product, but in the next paragraph they explain that the product isn't a laxative, and may not produce a bowel movement. Maybe I'm being really obtuse, but how does one achieve rectal cleansing without a bowel movement?

And then there is, as others have mentioned, the "why bother" factor.For those of just looking for some kind of enema-type stimulation without the explusion/constipation-relief factor, there are cheaper and easier ways to do it - air, lube, oil, or just a bulb full of water. I could even put aloe in my bulb myself. I mean, with a Fleet, you pay a couple of dollars for it, and in a few squeezes, the experience is over.

Fleet's anticipatory response to this in their ad is that non-disposable enema equipment harbors fecal bacteria. To which, I'm thinking, gee, am I so lazy I can't be bothered to wash and disinfect my stuff after using it?

I probably try one for the novelty of it, but I will be pretty surprised if this catches on.

Well I did the other one today (they come 2 to a box) and it was pretty much the same - no urgency to "go" whatsoever... I think I could have held it all day. Reason for that? NO VOLUME!!

I think it's a nice formula they are using, it does feel good afterward but like a typical Fleet enema there just isn't much substinance to it.

This product is different than Fleet's other enemas only that -

The box is quite different.

The formula is a little different.

They are admitting enemas may sometimes be used for "other" reasons than constipation.

The ad campain is indeed QUITE different. (ya gotta see these ads if you haven't already!)

- But it's still basically the same old boring enema.

I have an appointment for a colonic tomorrow, and I'm thinking about bringing a pack along with me to show my hydrotherapist, and point out that it has aloe for "soothing." Sometimes her colonics leave me a little sore, and I've told her that. If I bring them I'm going to tell her I'd like one after my treatment, either administered by myself or her (hoping by her, of course!). If she gives me one of those enemas after my colonic it will be worth it!

OMG, I LOVE this! Not the enema itself, it’s the popularity that recreational and erotic enemas have reached! What did I tell everyone here, years ago? There is one HELL of a lot of enema equipment being used and sold. I knew this would happen! I can’t wait for the commercial. A young pretty girl takes an enema out of the box, and disappears for a moment, into the bathroom. Then, she walks out, fresh and clean, and ready for her date, just as he arrives at her doorstep! Just the very thought that her rectum is kissably clean, and how she prepared herself like that, for her man. Well, got a pack of these for fun. 😁. So, the fleet natural went in really easy. No cramping, no gas like the regular ones. I really couldn't tell when to let it out. I just sat on my toilet and gave it some assistance. But it did give me a small clean out so ill give it a 3 out of 5. I would give it a 4 but only came in small bottles and not extra sizes.

I, like many, saw a side ad on the intern for Fleet Naturals and had to try them!

No cramping, no gas, and no discomfort...held for 5 minutes or so and with a little assistance it left me feeling good, clean and ready for whatever! Will use them regularly after all cleansing enemas now, soothing and relaxing!

I would suggest they introduce a 1.5 Liter disposible bag with the aloe mix.

Does anyone know what happened with this product? The fleet site makes it look as though they're still being manufactured but I haven't been able to find them for over a year.

I have a friend who is a pharmacist at a local "national Chain" Drug Store...She enjoys enemas aosl and she tells me that when the put "Fleets" on sale its like "Black Friday" in the store and they can't keep them on the shelf's..The Drug Store is near the University and most of the Fleets are purchased by Coed's ...10 or more of the double packs at a time..

Who said that the younger generation does not use enemas....

That's interesting. I've always been curious about consuming demographics of fleet enemas.

It seems to me that many who use Fleet's and other disposable enema products, are merely using them to produce a BM...their intended use. The Naturals likely do appeal to a different demographic, and that is a good sign that others may appreciate alternative uses of an age old procedure. If a quick anal cleanse/douche is desirable for anal play or a medical procedure, that's great.

Many of us older farts are frustrated that the good old fashioned "large volume" enema has been largely phased out by these disposable small volume enemas. They certainly have their place, and a degree of popularity, but will likely never be able to produce the sensations and feelings derived from those large volume or soapy enemas from our past.

The equipment itself, has provided a visual enhancement and fuels my fetishistic inclinations. The larger volumes evoke some intense feelings and sensations that can't be duplicated with a few ounces of any chemical based product. Having a nurse, mom, GF, or other administrator to assist in delivering the intended solution, certainly adds to the psychosexual benefits.

I've used a few disposables, including a "Naturals", but just don't get the same bang for my buck.

I've done Fleet Naturals many times for a quickie or for a quick clean out. In fact, did one last night and refilled it for a quick clean out because friend was coming over and knew she was going to use a strapon on me.They don't give you the violent urge to expel and are quick, and clean out the lower end. Needless to say, we had a GREAT time!!! 😉 😜

Talk about medical profit system. You can use them if you want, but Iill use my savings for other recreational products. Btw the original fleets always irritated my ass, why didn't they put aloe in it?

Why not just get an 8 oz bulb made by Cara or Faultless? They can be used many times and don't cost much. Good for just a rectal cleanout.

Jimmy, you make a great point. I have a vintage Rexall Kantleek Rectal Syringe that serves the purpose well, when a quickie little enema is desirable. The bulb syringes are a great throwback to those times long past. I guess a Fleet's Natural might do in a pinch, but those old 8oz rectal syringes can last a long long time. A feminine hygiene, or bulb douche syringe, is also a great way to fulfill some of those anal urges and needs.

.99 store sells an off brand fleets disposables. Great price and do the job.

The only reason I could see using one of the Fleet style Enemas would be if traveling and not wanting to carry other equipment. Either way, I would still use a bulb syringe instead of paying the amount they want for them.

Fleet Naturals seem to have milder effect for me. The results are still good. They just require more time depending on my diet.

I don't like the chemicals in Fleets, to me an uncomfortable enema, but an empty Fleets Extra bottle (the big ones) is a handy thing to have in one's travel kit--it doesn't raise any eyebrows, and can be rinsed and cleaned for the next time.

I have tried them. Not much of a real enema experience though. Perhaps they would be good for clean out before anal play of some sort, but behind that a waste of money. If I want an enema, give me 2 qts. of warm soapsuds.

I have tried these and really was not impressed. I like the idea and aim of the product, but find far more pleasure and use from a good 1500 ml warm water enema with some baking soda and/or a few drops to a teaspoon or so of Dr. Bronners peppermint soap!

I haven't tried this product but from the description it sounds as if it is for "recreational" use. Especially with it's aloe content. That suggests to me that it is to be used prior to anal sex. How progressive! As I've written elsewhere anal sex is becoming mainstream. I still think that I will stick to my bag for recreational enemas. I can't stand the regular fleet's because of the rectal irritation, tenesmus and associated vagal symptoms which they cause. (Vagal symptoms include sweating and nausea.) Give me the bag anyday!
