@MufDvrYou took petty much the standard M&M enema and got the expected result. About the only thing that's sometimes done differently is the enema is given up high with a colon tube, often Fr 24 or Fr 26, inserted 8 to 10 inches into the recipient before the solution is given. This is certainly a powerful enema and is mostly used for the very severely constipated , such as those taking opiates. It starts to work in a couple of minutes and the longer it's held the more powerful the urge will become. An M&M doesn't soften much, but certainly does push everything outā¦ don't expect a comfortable poo after taking one of these. But you will poo for sureā¦. and probably several times more over the next 4 to 6 hours.
My mothers medical dictionary from the late forties says molasses and milk enemas will produce āmultiple copious bowel movements ā, loland @MufDvr , that sugar and baking soda is listed there too as a Mayo enema as stated here already, it's a ācarminative enema ā meant to produce gas also to distend the rectum and colon and help make way for easy passage.
@KabA Mayo enema is strongly laxative, almost like an M&M, but less messy. It doesn't āhelp make way for easy passageā. Take one and you WILL poo within a half hour. The two enemas are petty much equal in purgative effect, although the Mayo is a bit slower to work. The Mayo tends to be less messy (and stinky)

Both enemas say ā multiple copious bowel movementsā, and yes, they made me shit multiple times over a lenghty period of time.
@KabFWIW, I don't think that āthe bowels are expanded and rectum distendedā is really a significant factor in the effectiveness of either enema. Yes, the solutions, when the colonic bacteria get to eating the sugars, cause gas as a by-product, but the increased volume in the colon provokes the urge to poo. Other byproducts of the sugar digestion iritiate the colon lining, again causing a strong urge to poo.Nothing in the enema solution distends the rectum. That's done by the poo being pushed outā¦ big or small, hard or soft,m it's gonna come out. After either enema starts to works you simply cannot stop it.
@KabAll I'm saying is that the largest part of the laxative effect of an M&M enema comes from the sugars annoying your bowel lining, causing strong contractions, not the inflation of the bowel caused by the gas.My proof? Air enemas don't cause a strong urge to poo.
@donga great post...I've never tried MM enema before and thinking of going for it next time. Any suggestions, advice etc very welcomed....ā¤ļø
So just to get this right for me being in the UK...milk as in what I put on my cereal and molasses as in Treacle? I've I got that right š¤£
Mammalian milk (including bovine milk) contains sugar called lactose. Molasses contains mainly sucrose with small amounts of glucose and fructose. The combination appears to provide a nearly ideal mix that when broken down in the colon, induces an osmotic action that is slow, progressive, and consistent over time. Unlike saline laxatives such as Phospho-Soda which induce rapid onset and fast osmosis causing a fast flood of water in the colon, and evacuation in minutes, the milk and molasses gradually increases fluid content until aggressive peristalsis is triggered. It is almost impossible to control defecation once intense peristalsis induced by the milk and molasses solution is triggered, as the colon almost violently propels the content of the colon out. The advantage is stool in the colon which may have harden and compacted has time to be penetrated by fluid and broken apart, easing passage. The drawback of this particular enema is two fold. (1) If administered to a person with limited mobility, it can result in a major cleanup effort. As one friend commented in the early 70's, "It is a manure spreader." It is not unusual if administered to a mobility limited patient to result in a major cleaning effort of the recipient, the bed and the surrounding floor and walls. (2) Almost all persons receiving the enema experience significant gripping. and can experience syncopal episodes. If the person passes out they usually recover consciousness in the midst of stool and enema solution around them.Karo Syrup (name brand) and molasses both have been mixed with infant milk or formula as a laxative for both infants and small children. At one time it was common for Mom's to make molasses cookies knowing the cookies exhibited a laxative action. Similarly Mom's also knew that so called 'scalded milk' exhibited a laxative effect, yet it was not until 1957 that lactulose was discovered in the lab as a product of heating milk to the boiling point.
I tried a pint of molasses with a pint of warm milk taken with a long colon tubes. Had a very gassy, explosive result in about 15 minutes.
In my bowel management program for my colon/rectal cancer, they recommend 6 oz.of hot water, 3 oz. of powdered milk and 4.5 oz. molasses and use a 12ā colon tube.
But I have not tried it yet and they told me to use the oral lactose first which I have been doing. I canāt even hold a Fleets enema. The rectal cancer is like a one way valve as it was explained to me.
But I have not tried it yet and they told me to use the oral lactose first which I have been doing. I canāt even hold a Fleets enema. .@medfedcouple Did they specify lactose or lactulose? The two words are frequently conflated but the latter is a laxative, while the former is a sugar.
@Victoria1951Almost certainly Lactulose. When badly constipated post-op, I got a Lactulose enema, 700ml normal saline plus 300ml Lactulose. I was told to hold it for at least a hall hour by the clock, while lying on several pads on my left side. After about 20 minutes, that became VERY difficult. I didn't make the half hour and everything pood out very powerfully.I think that the Lactulose enema has largely replaced the M&M for the severely constipated. They are more 'medical' appearing and a lot less stinky and sticky for cleanup. They are just about equal poo makers. Once the solution is in, you'll poo. Period,
It is the oral solution. I canāt hold enema. It goes in and then comes out. Cancer seem to block everything
I am meeting Friday with a Domme playmate who happens to be a nurse. Sheās giving me my first Milk and Molasses enema. Any suggestions tips etc?
