Wearing a jockstrap to a physical exam

Has anyone worn a jockstrap instead of underwear when you went for a physical exam? Any reaction from the doctor ?

Yes, on several occasions. But it's been a while since I've done that. Now I prefer to just strip completely and cover up with the small paper sheet over my lap. So for me, there's really no opportunity for the doctor to see me in my jock. However, I always did enjoy it. I might have to try it again sometime. 😄

I've never worn a jock to a physical but...Some of my high school swim teammates had the same family doctor as me. Once when I told my best bud that I was going for a physical he told me to wear my speedo as underwear, that the doctor had a special exam for swimmers and my wearing my speedo would signal thats what I wanted. I did and he was right. I wore my speedo to every physical from him after that until I went away to college. I've worn bikini briefs my whole life since then, and while most doctors seemed to take no notice, every now and then there would be one who would clearly be taking his time with the parts of the exam below my waist.

So, are you going to tell us more about the "special exam" for swimmers? I'm sure we'd all like to hear more about it.

The physical exam for swimmers which I heard about from someone who did not know about my fetish interest in physicals was held in the coach's office which was off the pool. The (male) team members were instructed to dry off and go to the office in their suits. They came in (it was an area much larger than what you might imagine) and had their heights, weights, etc. done in their suits as a group, each being able to watch the others. When it came time for the hernia check, each was asked to drop his suit, again with the others in the room being able to watch. I think he said that female nurses were doing the exam parts with the exception of the last part, but am not sure.

I have heard of a few coaches who watch the exams of the boys on their teams.

It's funny that you should ask that question. I actually had one doctor that did exactly that. I saw her exactly one time for a complete physical, or rather what she called a complete physical. It was during one of my many times when my employer switched our insurance provider so I was shopping for a new doctor. She was absolutely terrible and didn't do anything even resembling a complete exam. I never went back to her again, since I really didn't have any confidence that she was very thorough.

However, for this exam, I decided to wear a jockstrap as underwear. I remember that the nurse had me remove my shirt for the EKG and that was really it. She handed me a gown and paper drape as she left the room without any further instructions. So, baring any instructions, I decided to remove all of my clothing except for my narrow-band swimmer jock. I hate gowns, so setting that aside, I sat on the exam table with just the paper sheet covering me.

The female doctor came in and did a very cursory exam. When it came time for what I thought would be a genital and hernia exam, she punted and simply asked me if I had any issues in that area. I thought about telling her that it was her job to find out, but I didn't. Maybe I should have. But in any case, the jockstrap was never lowered for a genital exam. But she did say that I was at the age when I needed to have a prostate exam. Yes! I thought to myself. She told me that I needed to stand and bend over the table. She didn't say anything about my jockstrap, so I asked her if she wanted me to pull down my jockstrap. She answered no, that it looked like she could do the prostate exam with it still on.

So there I was, bending over the exam table with nothing on but my jockstrap. She quickly lubed up her gloved finger and slid it into my awaiting hole for a very quick prostate exam. She did have to push part of the jock aside in order to get access to my hole. That's because normally the two rear straps and the bottom of the front pouch are all sewn together at one place, which just happens to be right over your hole.

Because of the prostate exam, it actually turned out to be an interesting experience. But she was a terrible doctor and I never saw her again. I often wondered why she did the prostate exam but neglected to do a genital or hernia exam. Maybe it was the jockstrap that threw her off her normal routine. Maybe she read too much into the jockstrap and thought that I was too embarrassed to have the front pulled down, but I was OK with the prostate (since my ass was already fully exposed). I don't know, but I often wondered if the jockstrap had any affect on how that exam actually went.

I had a play exam where the doctor asked me beforehand if I wanted to wear boxers, a jockstrap, or nothing at all through the exam. Never having been examined (real or play) with one on, I chose the jockstrap. It was fun - I enjoyed how exposed it left my rear for the doctor to examine and probe while containing my erection.

Oh come on, pull yourself together, take a deep breath, and just do it! He might not even have to pull them down for the prostate check!

Not for a physical but wore a jockstrap on two occasions to the urologist's office when I had a vasectomy. I was instructed to bring a jockstrap to wear after the vasectomy but the instruction sheet also said that I could just wear it along with loose pants to the procedure so that I didn't have to carry my underwear out of the doctor's office after. So it made more sense to just wear the jock. I was instructed to wear the jock for a few days after the vasectomy for support as it would help with any discomfort and swelling. I had a minor complication so ended up wearing a jock longer than just a few days. I had a follow-up visit with the doc a week later and he had me drop my jeans and jockstrap so he could see what the problem was. It was a situation where wearing a jock to the doctor's office was required so there was nothing weird about it. Another time I had an issue down there and my regular doctor gave me some antibiotics and told me to wear a jock all of the time until the discomfort ended. It is easy to forget that guys wearing jockstraps was not at all unusual in years past and most middle age male doctors probably wouldn't ask why a guy was wearing one unless the doctor was wondering if it was related to some health issue. I grew up in the era where jockstrap wearing was mandatory for sports and PE and weighed-in for wrestling wearing a jockstrap or nothing at all.

No. I have respect for my doctors professionalism. I would not even dream of going there. Unlike many respondents I never had a physical at school. I always went to the pediatrician.

I had surgery for a hydrocele... had to wear a jock for a few weeks too -- so had a follow up in a jock. And yes.. wrestled in school, too like prior post... so, wore either breifs or jock for weighins.

Wearing a jock to an exam today would be unusual in most places unless the guy had some testicular pain or some medical reason for wearing one to the doctor's office. There are good medical situations where wearing one is helpful, but many doctors today would think it was strange for a patient to wear one as underwear without a good reason. Read a post once about military entrance physicals during Vietnam where the inductees were ordered to strip down and line up. Apparently, most guys were wearing white briefs but a few guys weren't wearing underwear at all and a couple of guys were wearing jockstraps as underwear. Laundry day and they were out of underwear?

Used to wear one for sports physicals at college as they'd be carried out in a room off the locker room just before or sometimes after training so I'd just strip off to my jock. I might have a you wearing one to my next work physical, to which I always arrive in a work suit, to see the doc's reaction...

And how did you deal with that? What parts of the exam did you conduct while he was still wearing it? When did you have him pull it down or remove it?

I have never worn a jockstrap to a physical, whether real or play, but it sure sounds fun and would like to try that some time.

For some reason, i had not been following this thread. The last time i had seen it was 2014, about a year and a half before I turned jocktrap wearing exhibitionist. And ever since then, as I think most of the Zity community knows by now, I've worn jockstraps to ALL of my physicals and skin exams. And massages. And places where I can get away with being seen and exposed in a jockstrap.

Wish I had been wearingt them to physicals a long time ago.

Twice. First to a yearly exam by male Dr. No comment was given. The second time to a gastro... exam with prostate rectal procedure and I had the jock laying in full view on top of my other clothes in chair and the female Dr. glanced at it at least three times. Fretter

I am sure my doctor wouldnt care. Since he sees gay guys of all ages, I am sure he wouldnt be bothered by it either.

I would not for several reasons. The first is comfort. Following my exam it can happen that there may be lube that is excreted and becomes absorbed in my briefs. This is better than having a stain in my jeans. I also think that it is uncomfortable for me to be in a jock while lying on the table. My butt cheeks crinkle the paper and could stick to the exam table. I am not sure if it would facilitate some arousal. Lastly, I think it is a bit boastful to show up like that and am more reserved.

I had my physical exam today, and for the 1st time during any appointment, the doctor DID allude to my jockstrap. He could see while he was examining me that i was wearing a thin waistband Bike. And when it was time for the rectal exam, he just asked me to turn on my side. He didn't ask me to remove my underwear or anything to that effect. When he lifted the back of my gown, he said “I can see you came dressed for the occasion”, and did the rectal with me still wearing it.
