Fuss all you want, it's still a fascinating topic, on many different levels.
First of all, from my point of view, "muffin-like" is not the worst term I've ever heard. I guess you could say I'm ambivalent about it.
But back to our story; way back when (last year) when I first started conversing on this board, I was asked by a "doc" if my labia were "feathery". I questioned his use of terminology and was told that women of "my age" have feathery labia. Now that was offensive!
Since the "gentleman" pointed out this apparently age-related phenomenon, I have checked several times, and so has my medfet partner. We have determined that my labia are not "feathery" but neither are they muffin-like. They are, if anything, just as smooth and firm as they ever have been, albeit slightly larger since the birth of two children. Menopause doesn't seem to have affected them adversely.
Frankly, I think this is more a function of genetics and the skin's response to certain conditions such as weight loss or gain and the waxing and waning of hormone levels in the body. I have to admit a certain vanity where my skin is concerned; I have been blessed with smooth, clear skin and at age 50, not a wrinkle in sight. Maybe that translates to the skin below the belt as well as that above. Knock wood!
As a female, I find the changes in the male genitalia that come with age to be just as interesting.
And that's all I have, for now!
