It seems to me that the consensus here is that if possible a calm environment is best for baby, and of course mother.
But we live in a busy world and has been stated we may have other children and other pressures which legislate against total peace and calm.
So what do we do when we're busy, harassed, on the move. Well of course if baby wants/needs to feed then of course do so. Better the slightly frantic pace of life than no dinner!
Here in the UK we get crazy things like McDonalds (fastfood outlet???) or the park warden calling the police to a breast feeding mother. Shock - horror - go the comments from prigs and bigots - how dare she do something so unnatural????
Quote eosforos "I know, that is not always possible, but breastfeeding in hurry at a busy place in front of many strangers should not be a rule".
And why not, pray, eosforos? If you are out and you feel hungry do you not 'eat at a busy place in front of many strangers'? How odd!
I've posted before on this subject in a similar thread. There is nothing sexual about seeing a woman breast feeding, whether her breast is visible or not. If anyone is sexually excited by such a sight then treatment is required.
What there is is a demonstration of one of the most wonderful things a woman can do for her child. And please, don't get angry with me for that comment if you couldn't breast feed for some reason.
