A Brand New Washing Machine and Dryer!

Today we got a new Miele front loader washing machine! 😁 😁 😁 😁

We also got a matching dryer, but that isn't the big deal.

You are all probably thinking I'm nuts over this, but as we all (should) know, our ropes need regular washing, especially when they extend between the buttocks, over the anus, between the labia, or are just dragged over the floor. Possible feces, vaginal secretions, blood, and just plain dirt have to be removed on a regular basis.

When I used to wash our rope, I had to stand over the top loader washing machine making sure the rope wouldn't get tangled or twisted around the agitator or generally bound up during the cycle. It's a real responsibility making sure 200-300 feet of rope in a wash cycle doesn't get all tangled. (I might have had to explain the problem to our daughters.) I never had a problem, but, watching the inside of a washer for forty minutes with the top door open and the the safety switch held open so it could spin at the end while I watched, was only slightly more interesting than watching water boil. Now, with the front loader, without an agitator, it allows me to throw in the rope and not have to worry about it tangling on the workings of the machine.

When i first started reading this I thought you were going to say you were tied to the machine on spin cycle and fucked hard.

good reminder to wash the ropes though. I usually stick ours in a pillowcase to stop em tangling up. also stops the neigbours seeing the huge amount of rope 😃

Do you add Clorox to your wash cycle?

I don't know if you need to sanitize ropes that much. I usually soak mine in a soapy solution, rinse, and hang to dry. No, I don't have any neighbors that can see my drying line!

Interesting. Here in Europe, washing machines with a drum that spins around a horizontal axis (available in both front and top loaded models) have been around since the 70's or maybe earlier than that.

Front-loading Miele, hummm. I would have thought for certain you'd get a rear-loader.

If you have a top loading washer you can get a lingerie washing bag and put your rope inside that, if your rope does not fit in one of those a zippered washable pillow case will do the job nicely and there is not chance of the rope tangling with the spinners!

Never more use this ropes for climbing.

You have to use special soap and rain water if possible, hand wash never machine wash for climbing ropes.

Actually, NO, I don't use bleach on ropes.

Between the TIDE and a long wash cycle with prewash (if needed), extra rinse and spin cycle which I always do to get out any soap residue that could cause irritation to mucosal tissues around the labia (anus doesn't seem to be a problem) the rope is cleaned and sanitized to my satisfaction. I am not looking for the sterility an autoclave would give.

After the high speed spin, the rope is really dry enough to hang or lay on the bed to finish drying for a few hours. Drying in the dryer could be done if you have a rope with absorbent fibers like cotton, but nylon and other hi-tech sailing ropes dry pretty fast. They are designed that way so ropes used for boating don't get moldy.

Bleach could also decolorize the pretty braid patterns, and Arthur, I would never use ropes that I used for rock or tree climbing against naked bodies even though they are the same nylon ropes as ropes used for marine purposes. Besides, climbing ropes are long and bondage ropes are generally 5-20 feet, sometimes longer depending on what you're tying.

I never used a lingerie bag or pillow case, but I would guess that 10-15 pounds of rope in a bag would prevent the wash load from balancing in the washer and the machine's "out of balance alarm" would go off in the spin cycle.

Don't congratulate me too much for this. Laundry ISN'T one of my favorite activities! It's not like getting a new dress or car or something that's actually fun to use! 😁 😁 😁

One method if not washing in laundry bag for delicate wash is to coil the rope and use smaller rope or twine and do like 4 points around the coil in even spacing. Don't use bleach or like chemicals as that can degrade the rope no matter what type of rope. Also best to air dry rope, do not use a dryer as the heat can also degrade the rope.

On an aside note regarding sex toys on the top shelf of the dishwasher. A friend told me that he had put his wire wheel covers in the dish washer. He said he hosed them first and scrubed the worst of the dirt off with a brush. then told me to give it a try. So I did. The only thing was that my mom came home, yes I was only 17 or 18 at the time and still a Sr. In high school, and she wanted to know what was in the dishwasher as she had just ran it that morning. When she discovered my wheel covers did I ever get my ass beat from her! probably wouldn't have been all the bad had I not been laughing at her! :-) Oh well, live and learn! LOl

My aunt once said that the best screwing she ever got was on top of an off-balance top loader washing machine.

Just a bit before my time, Frigidaire washers had the "jet action" agitator that went up and down during the wash cycle and only turned during the spin cycle. At that time a washer would go through all the cycles even with the lid open. I would think a well placed dildo on the agitator would have given a good ride while doing your laundry.

One of my friends LOVES to do her family's laundry. She does her (and her husband's) bed linens every other day and pillow cases get changed every single day. Her two sons and one daughter's linens are done once a week, which is normal for most people. Her bath and face towels are used for ONE drying, after that, it's into the hamper. Her electric bills for laundry must be extreme.
