Getting ears checked

Just wondering if anybody else like having their ears checked. Its not my favorite part but definitely up there.

It's an important part of a complete exam and I find the otoscope a very interesting instrument. I like to check all the holes of the female body.

I like getting my ears checked too, there is something very intimate about the doctor being so close and feeling his breath on your face and neck. Also, my ears are definitely an erogenous zone, nicely sensitive.

Anywhere I can find pictures of this part of the exam?

Not really- for me as an adult my doc tends to not look in there as much

My ears are a really sensitive part of my body so I'd say have a bit of pleasure from it. Probably the most interesting ear exam I've had done is a Tympanogram. My eustachian tube doesn't really work right so I end up having one of these done every 6 months or so lately. Basically you've got a little probe in your ear, some air gets puffed in and then your eardrum gets vibrated back and forth a few times, then out comes a printout of how your eardrum moves.

I usually hate the ear exam. My doctor is kinda forceful and just shoves it in there.

I hate having my ears checked. My ear canal goes up and then down which forces the doctor to straighten it out to some degree. It is not painful but not comfortable either. I also don't like the doctor that close to my face, wether male or female. I much prefer nose, mouth, or rectal exam to having my ears looked into.

I have an otoscope and use it to peer into my patient's ears during the early part of the examination.

I always think that it is a prelude to, and sets the stage for, the rest of the exam.

I know there were will soon be other orifices opened and looked into and wonder if she is thinking the same thing. 😉

I always include an inspection of ear canals using my otoscope during play exams. Several of my 'patients' have told me that they enjoy it

Just ponder the richness, intensity, magesty of the music of the great Ludwig Van Beethoven. He went deaf and continued to write as he heard and saw the music in his mind. Imagine how much more he would have given the the world with his gifts had he not gone deaf. Even as he was able to hear and see it in his brain, he also knew it did not make up for actually hearing and making it magically come together.

Listening to the simple beauty of a stream trickle over the rocks in the mountains. The sound of the beginning of a storm, all the way through to where you can barely hear the rain and you look out the window to confirm it quietly falling and the storm completes itself eventually. The grandness of listening to the waves break and crest. The simple sounds we love, the sounds that make us happy, and the sounds that save our life and keep us safe. The sounds that make memories and bring those memories back when we hear or think of them. Powerful. Priceless. A treasure worthy of protection.

Treasure those ears, take care of your hearing and get them checked!

I've had problems with earwax in the past and have had to it removed with a water jet or a plastic curet. Getting the water jet is kind of like an enema for the ears, but with very quick results! There's nothing like having hearing suddenly return to an ear after a period of hours or days.

I also remember the intimacy of the curet procedure. I lay on my side, and the female doctor held my head against the table to keep it still. It hurts a bit when the wax is dislodged but relief sets in soon.

I only get an ear exam when I have to. I'm not really big on this procedure because the inner part of my ears are very sensitive. So it's just not my cup of tea!

Had never considered this as being exciting,infact i find having my ears syringed quite uncomfortable especially if it becomes a prolonged procedure.

Ear exams... I truly enjoy an sort of touch, manipulation, exam etc of my ears!

I LOVE getting my ears checked, its probably my favorite part of the exam, aside form genitals. i don't know what's so exciting about it, but there's something about the doc being able to see inside of me and the scope feels great when it's in my ear

I kinda like this too, can't really explain why, but inserting the otoscope and looking inside so close to the patient's head is rather intimate, I guess..

Bb2007: I too also suffer from "Cerumenus Maximus" as I like to call it. I have been told everything causes it from allergies, an enzyme imbalance to just old "shit happens" Or in this case "ear wax happens". Whenever I need to go to the doctor she looks in my ears to determine if I should have the turbo flush treatment.

Yes i also find this test very interesting. Maybe its because of the feeling of exposure and a machine having control of my body, monitoring and printing graphs

I love that too. My ears are very sensitive, I am not directly sexually aroused, but there is a pleasant tingling sensation and a deep relaxation at the same time when I have instruments in my ear or when I have to be carefully examined in different ways while playing.

I must say I think it feels weird

It's unpleasant - you get something uncomfortably stuffed in the ear canal.

I had otitis as a child and vaguely recall it was very uncomfortable.

An ear check happened by every school physical back inthe1960es.

In addition I got called in downtown for an ispection of my ears and hearing test when I was 7. It got detected thatI had excessive ear wax thatgot flushed out.

When I was 8 I had another hearing test at school.

These were additional special exams, that the school health authorities in Norway are very eager to send kids to.

Other special exam types very often done to Norweagian children are orthopedic ordeals, ADHD assessment, visual assessment and pelvic exams, those last both for boys and girls, but those last usually happen under anesthesia, and many kids do not know that it has been done, because the reason given for anesthesia is often another, which somtimes is a plain lie, other times a part of the total ordeal.

The reason for pelvic exams are often worry for the kid being subjected to sexual abuse, with a very broad definition of this term

And yes, hernia surgery is high on teh list. in Noway.

Whatever special exam done in this country, using the kid as guinea pig in some broader surveillance or scientific program, and money is usually exchanged thereby too.

In the summer, we always got our ears checked for woodticks. Other crevices too! 😀😀😀

I always feel relaxed and comfortable, when going for an ear exam. I’ve read that the ear is connected to a network of nerves that create euphoria when stimulated. There’s nothing sexual about it, although It’s possible that some people might have an ear fetish.

Growing up it was always a part of the yearly physical exam. But recently I am not remembering my PCP looking into my ears. The heart (blood pressure) and lungs are the main check out for me. Which are the main areas of issue for me.

I actually do like it - it's not a big turn-on like other medical stuff is to me, but I think perhaps it's two things: one is that at a check-up I always found the doctor would start with ears-eyes-throat, so getting the otoscope used on me was like a precursor to the 'magic stuff', and the other is that I did get quite a few ear infections as a kid but somehow instead of associating an ear-check with pain I came to see it as a 'getting better' thing somehow. I remember one time when I was really miserable with ear-ache and had to go and see a specialist at the hospital and my parents expected me to be a real brat about it but I actually wasn't and they were really nice to me all day afterwards, having spent about a week seeming fed up of how sick I said I was, so I think it's an association thing.

This - as a kid I would be stripped down to my briefs and after the initial height and weight checks I would hop onto the side of the bed and be sitting there for the ears, eyes and throat checks and it would the first time in an exam that the doc would be coming towards me with an instrument. It wasn't the most exciting part of the exam but it was the first part of everything that followed.

My ears are rather sensitive, so it can be very pleasant to have them touched or whispered into, etc. Ear exams are nice in a “real” setting and can be even more fun in play, especially with a little creativity. 😊
