My preference is for a hospital style IV stand.
I bought an inexpensive IV stand with a bolt-on base assembly (with castors)… a Drive Economy IV Stand… for under $50. The “X” feet assembly comes off with one bolt and the thing fits in a box about 6" x 6" x 60" and can easily be stored under a bed. Out of sight, out of mind.
At play time it can easily be set up in a couple of minutes. All that is needed then is a cute nurse to carry the filled bag into the room and it's enema time ! LoL.
More importantly, the bag height is easily adjustable.
It can be lowered so that the bottom of the bag is typically below the bed level, allowing a bag to be a reservoir for a Higgenson syringe so that water only flows in when the bulb is squeezed.
Of course, the bag height can also be set to about two feet for a slow, comfy fill. This is my preference.
Or, if the stand is raised to full height, about 7 feet, it can be used to give a very fast, gut wrenching, fill that is all but impossible to take.
If you browse Craig's List or other swap sites, you can often get IV stands almost for free. Estate sales too.
You might also look for a bedside commode and/or bedpan. Sometimes an enema, especially one with soap, glycerin, or similar additives can work FAST and you poo uncontrollably and having a commode close by is useful. Most commodes are not really a comfortable place to sit and poo (and cleaning the bucket isn't real fun) but the pail is a lot easier to empty and wash than a rug is to clean.
