I recently went to a new physician. The nurse took me back to an exam room and started filling out the intake form, asking the usual questions. She asked my weight. I told her, "It's 130 without clothes, but I haven't check too recently." She replied, "That's okay. We'll check it in a minute. You can get undressed if you want to be consistent."
Since she'd given permission, I started taking off my clothes. She stayed in the room and continued to ask me questions as I got undressed. I hesitated when I got down to my underwear not sure if it would be appropriate to take them off, but I decided to go for it. She was facing away from me as I tossed them on top of the rest of my clothes and got back on the exam table.
The nursed finished the form and turned around. "We want to be extra accurate today," she said with a small laugh when she turned around and saw me. I started to flush a bit, but all she said was, "Hop up on the scale." She took my weight and had me turn around and checked my height. I got back on the exam table and she finished by taking my blood pressure. When she'd finished she asked, "I assume you're okay without a gown?" I said, "Sure, that's fine." "The doctor will be by shortly," she said as she left.
The doctor came in a few minutes later and did a regular physical exam. She didn't acknowledge my nudity during the exam, but at the end as she was finishing up my paperwork she said," I wish I could get all of my patients to undress. Makes life so much easier." She finished up and said goodbye. I got dressed and left.
