I'm enjoying going back and reading old threads. I'm commenting on a few here and there, so newer members can see them and add their own replies.
At my gynecologist's office, I'm asked to remove everything and put on a paper vest, open in the front, and put a paper drape across my lower half after I'm seated on the end of the table. The doctor and his MA leave the room while I'm undressing, but my significant other is there.
I once had a Gyn nurse practitioner who had me unhook my bra but leave it and my blouse on, while removing everything below the waist and using the paper drape over my lower half.
At our GP, an internist, I'm told to remove everything but my panties and put on a cloth gown, open in the back for a physical. The MA and my significant other are in the room, but there's a cubicle for patients to go into to change, so I have privacy. For a sick visit, my state of undress depends on what the issue is, but most often, I remove my blouse and sit on the table in my bra and pants/skirt.
At my other docs, it's often either everything off under a gown, open in the back, or bra and panties under a gown, open in the back.
I don't have to remove any clothing for visits with our osteopath, except for on the initial visit when she did a basic physical and musculoskeletal testing.
