Tanslabial ultrasound

Do anyone know this technique? or had experienced?

it is done with abdominal sound putted over labia or anus, to see urogenital ways; is there some videos?

I got a transvaginal ultrasound every year but I´ve never had a translabial.

I have heard of the translabial ultrasound. I think they use it when they can not visualize the cervix with transabdominal ultrasound during the third trimester of pregnancy. I have also heard it is used to assess the anal sphincter complex as well.

and what about of "pc-muscle" test? gyno said to my wife that in a next visit he will do as it will take mote time than a normal visit, and my wife is a bit afraid...

Yes, I never heard such things.. I have seen transvaginal sound.. but translabia ? hard to imagine.. ehmmmm..

It must feel very good to feel a lubricated probe over your labia

I have seen the translabial ultrasound procedure performed in a hospital as part of a medical research study. The patient was asked to abduct her thighs as wide as possible, then her labia were widely separately. The abdominal probe was then held against what is effectively the urethral area, with a heap of lube, and moved around to get visualisation of the uterus and cervix. There was also a dilator / speculum used to hold the vagina open during part of the exam, and my recollection was that she also had something narrow inserted in her rectum at one stage during the process. She had to "bear down" at different stages too. The doctors were colecting measurements of movement and distance internally. Was by far one of the more interesting procedures I have had the privilige to observe.
