Knee supports vs stirrups

My doctor has knee supports. It's more comfortable for me and I feel be more exposed.

I've only experienced stirrups, but I'd like to try knee supports to see what they are like.

My quick consensus of the question seems to lead to a conclusion that most women find the supports more physically comfortable… but more embarrassing/vulnerable, and thue emotionally un-comfortable.

What really surprises me I think is the number of women who have never been in them... I was of the impression that most gyn offices, by now, have modernized and gotten rid of the "end-of-table" metal stirrups and gone to either knee or calf supports.
