When I was younger my dad love the Carry on movies. There was one that I remember called "Carry On Nurse" that sort of watched with him. An old grumpy general was in the hospital and giving everyone a hard time. A nurse told him to lie on his stomach as she was going to take his temperature. A while later another nurse came in and said General what are you doing? He snapped back can't you see I'm having my temperature taken? The nurse said, yes I can see that, but with a daffodil. Both my day and I fell over from laughing so hard.
Kid has a qualified list, including my favorite from the '60s, Dr. Ben Casey. However, lest we not forget Dr. Kildare, and Dr. Marcus Welby...
Emergency all time favorite. Also MASH; ST. Elsewhere,ER until every main person left the show. I have gotten into DR.Kildare having got some of the dvd's. I have seen Marcus Welby some. Wish more that 2 seasons were out on dvd. This is a enjoyable topic.
I'm too old for current TV medical shows. Hands down favorites are:M*A*S*H '70's-'80'sSt. Elsewhere '80'sEric
I have to vote for "House". The only unrealistic part of the show is that his team of physicians always perform the tests, lab and X-Ray work; rather than actual technicians.
I cannot stand to watch any medical shows anymore since I started working in the healthcare field. Everything is so unrealistic, and all I do is find the mistakes. So I guess I used to watch E.R. before I started in the healthcare field.
