"Deprivation breeds excitement and then, alas, it's over."
That is what I like the least about the exam. The fun parts all tend to be crowded towards the end of the exam. It ends too quickly.
Though, having said that, when I had my physical done last year, I did not enjoy the prostate exam. My doctor isn't very big (small woman), but it felt like a one ton elephant was stepping on my prostate the last time she checked me. Plus, she poked my rectum painfully hard when she stuck initially put her finger up there.
I cried "Ouch!" and I think she must have got the message, because I noticed she cut the prostate exam shorter than usual.
Has anyone noticed that when it comes to sex-specific exams, that a doctor of the same sex is more competent at it? I have only had a rectal exam once by a male doctor - a gastroenterologist. He did not hurt me, and the exam lasted longer, but was more embarrassing than exciting, since I had a guy sticking his finger up my butt.
So, I guess the truth is that I don't necessarily enjoy the same things even between exams.
No guarantees in life, I suppose.
