I came close to telling my urologist's nurse. I had to have a prostate biopsy and was told to take a Fleet before the office visit. I did as told but would have much preferred that my wife give me a good two quart enema instead. The doc has two nurses: one a real cutie and the other one, well not. That morning the cutie was the one who did the preliminaries and asked if I had done the enema. I was tempted to tell her that I would have rather had a good enema from my wife, but I lost my nerve.
Yes, twice. Both times they asked me if I had taken an enema prep for a procedure. . Once for a anoscope, once for an IVP. That’s it. 😄
My doctor knows about my Gerson therapy ( the coffee enema is a big part of the therapy) and agrees that Gerson has probably saved my life, as it seems to have reversed my liver failure.
To answer the question – no I have never told a doctor that I take enemas. However, I once had a doctor who prescribed enemas. I was to take two each day. One in the morning when I got up and one in the evening about an hour before bed time. They were to be two quarts held for about 15 minutes. It was warm water with a teaspoon of salt for each quart. This was to be done for a full week. It was for an infection inside my lower intestine. After the week the infection went away and has never returned. That was about 27 years ago.
