Last night I decided to go down into the basement chest where I keep an assortment of enema bags I purchased some twenty or more years ago. I was still able back then to buy Davol and look-alike open top bags...
Getting back to last night, I decide it was time to take out one of those bags and put it to use.
I found I had one brand new Davol open-top as well a look-alike, but without the Davol name stamped on it, so I decided to keep the real Davol in storage and use the look-alike, as the real one would be more valuable...
The rubber of the look-alike was soft, showing no deterioration, but there was a bit of oxidation making the rubber appear a little pink and bright red....
Filling the bag with a strong mix of Ivory soap water - it took almost three quarts to fill (guess those bags are 2 3/4 qt capacity?). Connected to a double balloon retention nozzle I began my enema session.
As I released the clip, I couldn't help but think how after all these years, this bag was finally getting to the job is was made to do!
Funny thing, I had the bag strung up a good height, so it should have flowed fast into me, but it seem to stop shortly after it began, and for a minute I wonder if something might be stuck in the bottom of it.. but I didn't want to get up and check, so I simply deflated the retention nozzle and that got the flow going again and then I inflated the nozzle and all was well - I was getting my soapy enema...
Perhaps it was the excitement of using this new bag, but that enema and the two that followed with that bag were some of the best in recent memory...
