What was your security blanket

Mine was a blanket called cuds

Mine didnt have a name but it was light brown and that soft feel felt great wish i still had it.

Didn't have any real name, other than "nice blanket" It was soft and fuzzy and felt nice, so when I wanted it... nice blanket please! 😃

I had a black and white stuffed dog till I was about 9. Now I have a real dog.

I have my pooh blanket i call it my boo boos me always have my winnie the pooh blanket.

Im a lifelong headbanger. Meaning I bang my head into my pillow until I fall asleep. Also I rock back and forth. lol Im a rockin headbanger lol Anyway on to my point. because of all this I didnt have a blanket....but I did have my single and very special pillow. I called it my dodo...yes like the bird lol. I researched headbanging and rocking and found its actually not uncommon in very young children up to the age of 4 I think...but like alot of other things I never grew out of it. Its the rythm of it that is soothing really. It is also said kids with this irregularity have shown to be a bit ore clever than their peers.

I dont realy have a security blanket. My thumb is my so called security blanket. i been sucking my thumb as long as i can rember always relaxes me when im stressed out. also it was the only babyish thing i get away with, my parants didnt know Y i suck my thumb & god knows they tried everything they can think of to make me stop.i still suck my thumb at age 50 & dont think ill ever stop.

Mine was a soft green and white blanket that was so nice and soft, i wish I could find it now. Later on I used Muppet baby sheets, that no longer fit on any of the beds in our house. I miss both of 'em.

My security blanket, was/is my plushie penguin “pingui” yes he has a name, it's Spanish for “little penguin” It was given to my by the mom of one of the little girl who was in the same ward in a bed to my left when was I hospitalized in the pediatric ward, when I was 8. He became like a companion throught those 19 hard months of test, surgeries and many many needles (shots, IV's and blood test) in the hospital. 28 years later he sits in my closet on the top shelf away from the little preying hands of the little people in my family.

Even today the Old Naughty Elf still has a security blanket made by Smith and Wesson. Not what you think it is a blanket with the Smith and Wesson logo on it. Soft and cuddly and do you really want to mess with someone that has Smith and Wesson promotional swag on his lap?

I had an actual blanket. The base color was white but there was probably every color of the rainbow on it. In the middle (but took up the whole blanket) was a clown made up of colorful dots. I love colorful things even now so that was definitely my security blanket. I think I had it until I was about 10 or so.

I had a blanket if you could call it that, my mom refers to it as “that old rag” that blanket has been passed down for 46 years. My oldest brother has it then my other brother(middle child) and now its mine. Poor thing is faded the edges are torn off. But I refuse to get rid of it.

Lately I've been thinking about that very question myself,

as it used to be my teddy bear or pacifier when I was younger,

however since coming to really re-appreciate my beloved girl in the two year absence caused by the pandemic all things considered,

that it's come to my attention that my dog Freeway is my literal security blanket as she seems to be all to ready to say it's okay I'll protect you and that is great for me as I need her as much as she needs me.

as her fur is so soothing and the fact is shes more than my dog to me shes my angel, and going back to what I am saying shes also my real life teddy-dog of sorts

as she loves to cuddle up with me every morning and kiss me,

or during the eavenings before my bed time or when-ever I she sences that I am depressed or stressed out

shes always there to calm me down and if necessay wipe away my tears on a bad day as there are some days when I just can't cope with the outside world anymore as I suffer from episodes of ptsd, see my previous replies for more information.

And if not for her I dread to think what would happen to me as I would be lost in a dark place so to speak at least in terms of my mind Psychologically speaking.

And whilst its true that I've had dogs in my past before see my previous replies,

and don't get me wrong I loved them too however my current girl freeway is the closest that I have come so far to heaven and shes also my literal guardian angel.

I never had a blanket, but some stuffies. I gave away all my stuffies pretty early. Recently I got myself two new stuffies (a plush dolphin and a tiger) and I love them. They are great to help out with anxiety and saved me from taking anxiety meds several times.

Yep.. I sure did. matter of fact I wore out my first one. I called it my Mewmew. LOL. It was a light teal green with those tiny little rose buds in blue, and a satin border of seafoam green. I wore the first one out and Mom got me another. I think I wore that one out too. It's funny that neither Mom or Dad questioned why I had it. Especially Dad. I just slept with it and didn't carry it around though. Maybe that's why he tolerated it.
