Not an adult diaper wearer so it's a little confusing when you talk about pointing down even when erect...that does not sound comfortable and even painful! Don't you have a lot of leaks when pointing up, especially when laying down? When pointing down, the pee will hit the center of the diaper and spread over the rest of the diaper.

After reading all the responses, I want down for functional reasons, however down is literally painful, maybe my diaper is too tight down there, when it’s down it’s all crammed in, up is much more comfortable as it just sits there snug.
