Army Temperatures

I worked in the purchasing department when in the army. I remember the supply of thermometers labeled " Official Army Thermometer ".

I know how I got it taken all the time in the army.

Anyone else remember it? How was it taken for you? What did you have to do? Was it a group? Dis you see the label on the box?

While I was in the Navy, I was in the Navy from 1977 to 1988. All temperatures were oral.

Oral only for me back in the 70’s. Only time I remember was at the VA once when I had strep. I did end up with a shot in the butt by nurse Ratchett.

At my physical exam day it was taken rectal and the two times I was sick it was taken rectal. All others were taken orally.

I remember the boxes that I ordered as a purchasing rep had a red square on the box. I figured it meant rectal.
