How common to give suppository to adult daughter

Well, in India it is not much common to give suppository to adult child especially if they are above 10. Typically most of the Indian constipation episodes of childhood end by age of 8-9 and as the child enters puberty or about to do so, they get more disciplined in terms of food habits and as a result the bowel problem subsides.

However it is not uncommon that a small percentage still have it and for them oral medicines are mostly used. I do not know, Indian moms who are having so much of obsessions about their children's arse suddenly why stop after their puberty.

I want to know what is the practise follows at rest of the world for constipated child above 10 years and also in India (if I am missing something).
