Does anyone here use an enema can? Where do you put it while using it?

I bought a stainless steel enema can the other day and thought, "This will be great, I can set it on the bathroom counter next to me, I won't have to hang it from my shower curtain rod, and it will thoroughly dry between uses!" (I'm not convinced my silicone bag won't get mildew in my humid environment.)

I went to try it out and ... nothing. The water just sat in the can and wouldn't drain. I had to end up holding it over my head to get it to flow.

So I'm trying to figure out the logistics of using it. I don't have a tall shelf to put it on and can't think of a way to hang it from the shower curtain rod.
