LADIES - When was your first rectal exam?

I just noticed a topic I am going to share with my bf to post to later, which made me think this needed to be added.

When was your first rectal?

Was it a surprise?

Mine was at an appointment with my moms doc at 16, and was definitely a surprise.

I was 19 at my first pelvic exam... I was shocked, no one told me about that part!

Ive never had one.

My old gyn would do a rectal vaginal exam and my current internist doesn’t do a full rectal but he does peek and poke around the outside part.

At my first pelvic exam to get on the pill. My sister who is two years older was with me. The rectal was a surprise. My sister knew and told me everything that was going to happen except that.

I haven't had one yet. When I was younger, I was a bit scared the doctor would perform one but she never did.

I tell this story wayyyyyyyy to much so sorry if you’ve read it before.

I was in my late teens. We were at my regular physical. And the doctor is asking me all kinds of fun questions. Mom tells the doctor I have stomach issues that sometimes keep me home from school. The doctor says “we can talk more about that later.”

The exam progresses as normal. I’m sitting on the table thinking it’s all done. The doctor flips through my chart again. “Let’s talk about these stomach issues”.

She looked at my mom “I think I need to do a rectal”. My mother cringed then smiled. I didn’t know what that meant. The doctor began pulling on gloves.

“Can you drop your undies and roll on your side? I need to take a look at your bottom”

My what? Why would you want to do that? I think in my head.

She pushes me knees up. I’m mooning the room. She parts my cheeks. I feel that weird fucking feeling of cold air down there.

“You are just going to feel my finger in your bottom. It’s going to feel like you are going to the bathroom”

You’re going to do what now? I look back to see the nurse hand her lube.

And then I felt it. I tried to squirm away. The doctor put her hand on my hip and told me “this will be a lot easier if you relax”

It was not nearly as fun as some people here would have you think lol.
