Does anybody put on the tapes higher when changing their diaper on table than standing?

So today I'm changing myself on adult changing table. I notes I put on the tapes higher then standing. Anyone do the same?

When I change lying down, I tend to put the tape tabs lower. I believe it's because I go more on feeling than actually seeing to place them.

It's sometimes difficult diapering myself because of my back injury. Any more I pre-tape the lower tabs after adding booster pad and powder.

Then simply pulling them up as a pull-up standing. Then I fasten the upper tape tabs snug. Readjust the lower tabs if needed. Of course looking in the mirror looking at the fit.

This method works better for me because I get the tape taps on the landing strip. It also better to change this way in public restrooms.

I never had much luck diapering myself in the standing position without a loopedsided fit.

Standing with your back against the wall with the diaper between you and the wall. Bending over, pulling it up, squirming around and taping isn't easy for a good fit for me.

It's just much easier for me this way and I get the tape taps on where they belong with a good comfortable fit.

No as I don't have a adult changing table, however I do tend to do this when I am in bed so I guess that counts.

I don't either but when I do aqua therapy there's 1 at the pool. I find it's very handy.

Here's a related question: Are there any tricks for putting on a large disposable if you also have a large belly?

My "waistline" is probably about 40" measured about four inches above my "private part", if I wear pants I pull them up to there then have to have the legs hemmed so that they're not too long (about 30"). So typically I wear shorts or sweatpants.

Around my belly, I'm probably now about 55-60" (obviously I've put on about 40 pounds since my avatar photo was taken, which I eventually hope to lose but probably not until next spring).

If I wear cloth diapers, not a problem, in the front I can fold the inner ones over so that they reach just to where my gut sticks out, then fold the outer one over those and pin them that way--then use suspenders to keep them up.

But recently I decided to try disposables and bought some Northshore Megamax XL and the problem is, if I tape them securely around my waistline the middle of the diaper hangs down about to my knees. I've not yet tried folding the top/front of it inward and taping it that way, maybe that will work? Or possibly remove the absorbant inner lining from the outer plastic and folding that over then trimming off the excess plastic?

No matter how I do it I always have trouble with the tapes sticking, this is worse if I use Baby Magic lotion and can't wipe all of it off of my hands before trying the tapes. I've often wondered about using duct tape instead of the usual tape tabs? And maybe that can be found in some babyish pattern?

Any others of similar shape have any ideas?

I have a large belly and the only way of keeping my Nappy in position is by using stretch or fixing pants, they work well enough and with your clothes also adding to the constraint of the Nappy I have not had any great problems.

I'm very particular about my diapers and the tapes.i stand and always get a premium fit.both sides must be perfectly even and exact,I love, wear, and enjoy my diapers so much,, putting a diaper on is critical aspect of the pleasure.i always put a finger inside the diaper under the tapes and press them to get a secure fit.as I often slip my diaper down to poop,I like to put clear packing tape around the waist band on my mega max to be certain I can get endless pleasure, the tape really sticks to the landing zone on the mega max.i don't get an hour or two from diaper pleasure,I get endless pleasure and a full day

Iluv2crinqle, I totally understand that your very particular about the diaper fit. That's something that drives me nuts is an looped sided diaper. I dont even need to see it, because you can feel it. It's just looks wrong, it feels wrong, it is wrong period.

Cool to hear from you, my diapers play a very significant part of my contentment and gratitude.each diaper always must be put on correctly, I've seen pics where people are careless about the tape placement.i buy northshore supreme and mega max,a very expensive diaper but one that literally performs with 100% quality and pleasure.on especially the mega max, the tapes are large and excellent quality,it also has a panel/landing zone so every diaper fits perfectly and comfortable.i have over 50 years experience with diapers and the tapes are very common in failure,I insist on an entire day of enjoyment so it's absolutely critical to have decent tapes, very evenly spaced and applied,I never have soiled or enjoyed destroying my diapers with piss or poop.i do not change my diapers in a short time,I love and enjoy the pleasure all day.

I generally lay on the bed when putting them on and generally end up with the diaper and tabs pretty high but just kinda what I'm used to doing and prefer how that feels over having them lower.

You always must put a finger inside the diaper to firmly press the tapes.i do this every time to insure my diapers stay just right.iam so determined to maintain my diaper enjoyment that I also go around the waist band with clear packing tape.the tape really sticks to the tape landing zone on a mega max.this way, my diapers can be pulled up and down without stretching when I shower and poop.i quickly learned,I can maximize my diaper enjoyment time in mega max.with my mega max being the outer diaper,it never wears out right away.i get massive phenomenal gratifying enjoyment in my diapers
