Avoiding hemorrhoids

Hey everyone I wanna try anal sex but I'm really afraid of getting hemorrhoids so I wanna hear ur advices and I really suffer from being sore after any insertion back there

My experience over the decades is that regular use of anal plugs, small sized preferably, does seems to help prevent hemorrhoids.

Due to the work I used to do, which involved quite a bit of heavy lifting, I was rather prone to getting them. But once I got into the habit of using anal dildos and plugs (once again, never anything too large), I've not had any trouble anymore.

Back before WWII, anal plugs were often sold as hemorrhoid prevention devices and while people often bought them for sex play in the main, I have to say the advertising was probably essentially correct, even though it was a cover for selling a sex toy. So it was a pretty good deal all round: you get a device that does help prevent those nasty hemorrhoids and a sex toy all in one, with no legal (Comstock inspired) hassles about sending it through the post.

Regular use of anal plugs works for me.

I did read somewhere years back that anal dilation used to be practiced as a treatment for hemorrhoids (presumably if you could stand the pain of insertion in the first place) Also I think the same article went on to suggest that people who indulged in anal sex & toys were less likely to suffer (This was in the 70s / 80s before fisting & massive anal toys became fashionable. Like agracier I have spent my adult life playing with moderate sized plugs dildos & vibrators without having any such problems.

I agree that using butt plugs and anal toys actually prevents hemroids. I have been shoving plugs and various ass toys in me for over 60+ years and never had a hemroid. Love long term plug wear but nothing much over 2” dia. Enjoy the stretch. Many use much bigger without issues. If it feels good, go for it. Just go slow.

My hemorrhoids have all but disappeared after I started using a bidet seat on my toilet. The BioBidet 2000 has enough pressure in "Turbo" mode to actually force water past the sphincter and into the rectum for a mini-enema. Works well for me!

I have to agree with the rest. I used to have painful hemorrhoids and tried different ways for relief, medical and other. Changing food habits (more fiber) helped but all went away when I started using butt plugs and dildos. I have not had any issues for quite a few years now.

Having dealt with hemorrhoids for much of my adult life, I certainly can sympathize with what @Mary1 is concerned about. I've written about much of that with my various blog posts. An example is below.

I'd recommend using lots of lube (can't use too much) and easing into it with insertion of fingers and then small dildos, preferably inserted by the partner. Once comfortable with that, then move onto actual anal intercourse.

That's what my mother practiced in the early 1950's to help prevent hemorrhoids. I remember my father bringing home a set of dilators he purchased for her, and while he tried to be discreet, I was able to find and see what he bought. My mom would say her hemorrhoids were the result of child birth... but I now suspect they were doing anal sex...

ETA, after she passed away I found the set of dilators and threw them out. I should have kept them.

Sore means you need to slow down. If it hurts (rather than just a bit of discomfort) you'll tense up and make things worse.

Make sure you use reasonable sizes, plenty of lube, and relax around them. I have trouble if I push too fast, too far, or not enough lube.

My mother suffered horribly from hemorrhoids. Literally crying and moaning and throwing hysterical antics. Yet she also refused to be treated by surgery which in those days was the standard.

In any case, she too said they came from childbirth, singling out my younger sister as the main culprit, much to my satisfaction. For once I didn't get the blame for something I had no control over.

However I know my parents most certainly didn't engage in anal sex. Not with my mother's character. And most certainly not after hearing my older 80 year old parents bickering and arguing and letting fly accusations of intimate nature in my presence, things I never needed to have had to hear about.

Childbirth would indeed be the most likely culprit. I have read that expelling an orange would be comparable when it comes to size.

Although the birth of me was the one responsible for her hemorrhoids; somehow she never made me feel guilty about it.

Anal sex doesn't cause hemorrhoids. What it can do is irritate ones you already have. The way to avoid that is firstly to avoid inflaming them. So that means lots of fiber, no straining, no camping out on the toilet, the usual.

And then as others have said, taking the time for proper foreplay. Wether I'm topping or bottoming I think you should have at least 3 fingers in comfortably before going for anything else.

@Mary1 - hopefully by now you already became "fluent" in your backside adventures. If not yet, just take your time, try to make it enjoyable for you on your own - alone, before engaging with partners. Get yourself a few toys and enjoy your "me" time!

Do some anal training and everything will go fine. You can start off with the smaller butt plug and work your way up to the larger size depending on the size of penis that you want to try with anal sex.
