Being watched while being examined

I recently had a few examinations at hospital. There was often one of two extra people in the room. I certainly didn't mind if they wanted to have a crafty look.

I've been watched twice by students. Both times were at the same clinic, by the same doctor, during physical exams. Both times were by female med students. The last part of the exams ended with me laying on the exam table with my underwear down around my knees while the doctor examined my genitals, and checked me for a hernia. It was always done very professionally. The two times it's happened. The student stood with their back against the wall, and just watched, and didn't say anything until it was done. Once I was dressed, then they thanked me for letting them observe.

If you join the Metropolitan Police Service in the UK you will the strangest physical exam, where you walk in and completely disrobe, and stand there while a Dr. looks at you and behind you is a guy who is sat down and just looks at you. There is no physical touch by the Dr. No hernia exam, no stething, he doesn't even touch you. Seemed very strange, the women have to do the same too.

I was admitted to a hospital for a urological issue and had a urologist do a complete exam in front of 2 medical residents and a physician assistant all female and they watched the entire exam.

The first time ,,,, In recent years ,,, I had a stroke , Was care Flighted to Carson Tahoe hospital ,, Found myself laying in a bed ,,, One female nurse taking my blood presser on my left , A second nurse putting in an I.V. on my right ,,, A third nurse ,,,,,, male by my left hip ,,, instructing a fourth nurse ,,,, male ,,, on how to size me and fit me with the proper size catheter ,,,,,,,,,,, A nurse female ,,,, stood with a clipboard at the foot of my bed checking off everything..

Now I'm in a nursing home and almost every day if not several times a day I will be nude or at least exposed in front of two or three nurses or nurse's aid's . At least once a week ,, If not more often I am given a shower ,,,, By a C.N.A. and they are very "through" ,,,,,,,,, Yes they clean "down there" .

It's done very quickly and very "professional" . ALLTHOUGH there is one ,,,,, Very good looking ,,,,,, young lady ,,,,,, that if you are lucky ,,,, If she likes you {pause , sigh , }, If she isn't in a hurry ,,,,, {long pause , deep sigh } Well I don't need to tell you ,,,,,,

I would love to be watched whilst being examined, it’s something that I really want to happen and ideally it would be in a training scenario where different procedures are demonstrated with the audience being given the opportunity to try completing the procedures on me for themselves.

For my annual physical my doctor has his assistant watch during my exam. She glances but doesn’t really see much she sits halfway behind the changing curtain.

I don't mind at all when there is more than one person in the exam room watching. For me, it adds to that embarrassment factor that appeals to me. I love being exposed and explored but, at the same time, I get so so shy and reserved but inside, I'm excited and eager. I wish I understood this more about why this is so intriguing and appealing to me. Having multiple people watch me works both in real and play settings. Especially if it's in a learning environment. Example being, residents being both present and active during an exam to learn and explore my body.

Having attendants or chaperones present for examinations seems more and more common, at least here in the US. Often the attendant doubles as a scribe. This was the case when I had a skin check at the dermatologist's office a few weeks ago. Also, the clinic where the colon & rectal surgeon worked that I used to go to had attendants by clinic policy for any exam that required disrobing, regardless of gender.

Liked the comment by @MSGulfCoastMedFetCpl about the London ('Metropolitan') Police. They're absolutely right. This was at the same time as the medical but not involving the doctors who did examine officer-applicants on that day. The being observed naked and bent over was by senior officers 'interviewing' you. WEIRD.

I think they've stopped that now. Some older police officers have even been complaining they found it traumatic at the time and it still effects them.

I come from a family of police officers, though I'm not one myself. Cousins, nephews and nieces tell me it was the case but no longer.

I wonder if it was like an initiation right designed to intimidate and dominate. Not medical. Like older military exams of conscripts joining the army/navy/air force etc.

I don't mind at all, I feel we all know what both genders look like and I'm certainly no show piece at 83 with my little wrinkly one. Years ago my family doctor had me naked as soon as I walked in the exam room and I stayed that way until he was through about a half hour later. One time he went to his office and the receptionist thought I was gone so she came in with next patients file. I was sitting on the exam table facing the door so she saw all of me. She apologized profusely and exited. On leaving I assured her it was OK and after that she didn't hesitate to come in to see the doc when I was there.

At the VA my female NP brought in female trainees to practice giving me my physical exam including the DRE. At the dermatologist she had a female assistant who went out to get freeze stuff. She came back with another female carrying the liquid nitrogen who stayed for the rest of the exam. I had mentioned a scrape inside my foreskin that happened at the hospital. When she asked me to skin it back so she could look at it another female showed up to help all of them look at it. I thought she looked like one of the girls in the office. I guessed she might have been married to a cut guy and had never seen a foreskin in her life. I don't care, if anyone wants to look, bring them in, it's just the male version of the human body.

They catheterized me at the hospital to get a urine sample last week and there were 3 females plus my wife watching that procedure. Later I had a night nurse who recognized me from my job who was completely comfortable looking at my genitals while talking to me unlike my female doctor and most of the other nurses who avoid peeking if possible. I think she was Russian.
