Smells of spanking

Does anyone who was regularly punished with spankings growing up have an unusually salient and fervent memory of the sense of smell, and especially the humiliation of knowing or being told that parts of your body smelled (or associated clothing etc.) I was a normal teenage guy who wasn't careless about being clean, but who nevertheless, when I was stripped down and bent over, was acutely conscious of the smell of my butt, my feet, my armpits, etc. How did anyone else feel about it or deal with it, and would your spanking parent try to amplify your embarrassment?
