Check retractors

Would they make me wear a check retractor for a dental cleaning/exam or filling? Has anyone had this experience at the dentist?

Nope, only time I've had them has been for clinical photography for orthodontia. Not the best of times I can tell you that. The closest I get for a filling has been cotton rolls and a bite block.

Very rarely atleast in my experience. Only had cheek retractor for when I got braces but I have seen them be used in some cleanings. Just depends on the practice.
