Anybody have a visit with unexpected undressing?

@Racefan19 it was the first time. He pulled my toes apart, pressed the soles of my feet, got me to wiggle my toes and then rotated my ankles.

@chessymarne sounds like it was pretty thorough! Sometimes doctors have you take off your socks but not actually examine your feet, which doesn’t make sense to me. My pediatrician was like that. Most he ever did was look at them, check my pedal pulses, and checked my reflexes. One year he had me walk around the room to check my gait but that was pretty much it.

When I had ankle suregery it took them a long time to find the "pulse point" in my foot. They marked it with a magic marker to aide finding it again during/after surgery.

I recently had an appointment with a NP and knew there was a possibility of undressing and an exam taking place but I really thought it was just going to be a consult appointment about a colonoscopy then scheduling. I ended up being told she’d step out to grab a chaperone while I undressed. So I ended up in a gown and bent over a jackknifed exam table that was raised and tilted forward. Then had a finger inserted which was followed by a anoscope.

When i broke my leg skateboarding i went to the pediatrician and he asked me to take my hoodie and pants off and while i was laying down he lifted my underwear band and felt my testicles i was 14 so it was somewhat understandable

About a year ago I had to go for a physical for an insurance policy. The insurance itself was nothing special. Initially the insurance company only send me some medical form that I needed to fill out and return. Yet, after that they send me a letter that I was selected for a routine check. It would consist of measuring BP, BMI and taking a blood sample. The form to be used by the doctor that came with the letter also did not state anything else than just that. Yet, during the actual physical the first thing the docor told me was to strip down to my undies and socks only. He then watched me thoroughly from all sides only to be followed by BP, BMI and taking a blood sample while I remained in underwear.

I've posted about these in other threads, but this is a great topic so I will recap:

1. Went along for the ride to my younger brother's physical once and ended up getting one as well, which was totally unexpected but not exactly what you are asking.

2. My parents took me to a visit that I was told was supposed to be about "growth" and I honestly expected I would just be weighed and measured like the standard way they did it in class at school. I figured coat and shoes off, max. But it ended up being a thorough physical examination. I wore a gown-like robe to go between rooms for a few different things, but was in just underpants for a lot of it and completely nude for a couple parts.

I had a blood test done years ago because I had many problems, also the testosterone value should be determined at my own expense. The doctor said he had to examine my testicles and pull back the foreskin. Since I was 100% sure it was just a conversation with a blood sample, it was totally surprising to me. I don't know to this day if it should have been real or if he did it on purpose. ^^

The very first time I saw a dermatologist for a mole check, I did not think I would need to underdress completely. This was back in the early 90's so it was just the normal questions with the nurse. She took notes and then said, "The doctor needs you to undress to your underwear for the full body mole check" I guess I did not think my entire body would be checked. The nurse left and I go undressed and the doctor knocked and came in. During the checking, he had me stand up and face forward and then lowered my underwear. Checked and then I turned around and he lowered my underwear again and had me "hold your penis so I can check around".

I still go to the dermatologist, just a different one and I still have the same type of check.

When I was around 21 years old my Mom set me up with a new adult doctor and I was supposed to stop by the office to fill out some paperwork and possibly meet him quickly. I was told it was just a meet and greet and to give them some information and no exam would be done and that he probably wouldn't even be there. Since this was my first doctor I saw besides my pediatrician I was happy that there would not be a physical yet as I grew up being nervous going to the doctors. When I went in I ended up filling out a very thorough questionnaire and handed it to the woman at the front desk. She then told me to take a seat which I was very surprised about but I sat down anxiously. A nurse then came out and called me into an exam room...she told me that the doctor was here and wanted to meet me...she didn't think he was going to do a physical but just to schedule an exam in the future. She did some vitals just to have for my records and I sat there fully clothed. When the doctor came in he reviewed the form I filled out and asked me some follow up questions. He then said that he had a cancellation and could fit me in for a physical so might as well get it out of the way now. He asked me to take off everything but my boxers and started typing something on the computer. I was completely mortified and embarrassed. I already dreaded physicals a bit and was self conscious about someone seeing me almost naked in just my boxers and it was the first time taking off my clothes in front of a doctor. The exam was even more thorough and embarrassing...it was the basic typical things at my pediatrician exam except he looked at my penis and testicles lying down by lifting up my boxers and then had me stand up at the end. He then said something like "it's time for the part I am sure you don't like but I need to see everything down below a little closer...please pull your boxers to your knees for me"...he then proceeded to feel around my pubic hair, testicles and penis explaining everything as he did and asked even more embarrassing questions. I remember he felt a lot of time on my penis saying that I had developed well. I remember feeling really red and flushed in the moment but it's fun to think back on. It was my only year seeing that doctor as I went to another one the following year but it was definitely not what I was expecting when I entered what I was thinking to fill out some paperwork.

I was just along for the ride for my younger brother's physical - I think we were going school clothes shopping afterward or something like that. But, after my parents and my brother were taken back for his examination, a few minutes went by and the physician's assistant, a guy maybe in his late 20s or early 30s, came back out to the waiting room and called my name. At first, I thought maybe they just didn't want me waiting out there by myself, but I was in my teens so it wasn't like I was a little kid. But the PA told me that my parents and the doctor decided I would also be getting a physical while I was there. I was really pissed off and made it kind of obvious, which embarrassed me later. He said “yeah, it's no fun, but you don't really have any say in it.” He took me back to where they were, which was kind of a suite, with a conference kind of room that opened up onto the exam room. He told them he was going to “get Jake started" which began with me peeing in a cup for him. Then, we went down the hall where I did the preliminary stuff - blood test, vision and hearing, EKG, chest-X-ray (used to be routine in some areas back in the day for kids to get chest X-rays when there were smokers in the house). I had to go through all the prelim stuff shirtless, which I also was annoyed about and I kept putting my shirt back on before they wanted me to. Then, when we got back to the main room, I happened to see my brother's clothes piled on a chair in the outer room - including his underpants. That was not a good sign. I was told to undress but I stalled a lot. Eventually, I was fully naked, just like my brother - except I was well in puberty and he wasn't.

This is about not expecting to be naked. Then really worrying I would be naked. With good reason.

I went to a hospital clinic prior to having a cataract operation on my eye.

The doctor I saw began the conversation with 'You don't remember me then?'

Turned out he was a former student of mine. (I'm a retired teacher.)

Former student asked if it was okay for him to do the surgery in a couple of weeks time. He'd got permission from the hospital which he needed as he used to know me. I said yes. He was very clever at school and had gone to a top medical school.

But on the day of the operation, I did panic badly. I was sitting in a day ward with 6 beds. All the other all male patients were getting completely undressed and putting on gowns behind the curtains round each bed. This was presumably for procedures involving general anaesthetic or sedation. (One person I chatted with was in for a colonoscopy.)

There was a gown on my bed too.

So when the former student (consultant surgeon) showed up before the surgery, I asked him directly whether the gown on the bed was to put over my clothes (normal for cataract operations at this hospital) not instead of my clothes. He laughed out loud and re-assured me I wouldn't be naked under the gown. I was relieved but did blush. He understood immediately I would have hated that. Absolutely hated it. He was 12 when I first knew him.

He did a brilliant job on the cataract.

I was 21 having a new job physical. I was told to take my shirt off and this was much like my childhood exams. I figured at worse I’d have him stick his hands down my pants but no undressing. So imagine my shock when I had fo lower pants and underwear to my knees s for a cough test.

It was one of the most detailed physicals I ever had and one of the 2 or 3 most impactful and memorable ones that really fed what became my medial fetish. It was a perfect storm of: a detailed physical with them doing everything under the sun; me being at that adolescent phase of easy embarrassment AND moodiness; me being in a particularly cranky mood that day, which seemed to affect how they dealt with me; the fact that the physical came as a surprise to me; the fact that both my parents and my younger brother saw me naked... the whole thing. It involved so many of those elements that go into the fetish stew. This was also the time my brother and I both had the pinworm test with scotch tape as well as an orchidometer used and other things. That walk back and forth, duck walk, go up and down steps, reach up, bend down, etc. stuff. Plus, we both got "skin reactivity tests" which was super annoying but hot in hindsight.

When I was 14 and had a bad case of the flu my dad took me to the pediatrician’s office because it was going on 3 or 4 days and not heading in the right direction. She had me sit on the edge of the table and took my temperature (orally and in my ear). She asked me to remove my t shirt and then stethed my chest and back. Using a tongue depressor and pen light she looked down my throat and then had me stay open wide for an extra second so she could take a strep culture. She excused herself for a moment and then returned and told us she wanted to rule out strep and we should have results back in 10 minutes. She then asked me some questions: when did I start feeling sick, did I have body aches, how long have I had the fever for. I was so tired I struggled to answer her questions. Her nurse knocked at the door and she excused herself and went out in the hall with her. They both walked back in to the room together and the nurse turned to my dad to ask for an updated insurance card which he handed her. She excused herself and the doctor turned to us and informed that it was not strep. She placed her steth up against my chest again and had me breathe deeply and then cough several times for her. She then pressed her cold hands into my neck and throat. “Your glands are very swollen and inflamed” she moved down to the sides of my chest and began palpating into my axillary/underarm area then jot some notes down. The nurse knocked again and asked my dad if he would please come up to the front because they needed his license to verify the insurance because the insurance company was closing soon. The pediatrician looked annoyed at her and escorted her and my dad to the door and briefly walked out in the hall. She apologized to me and then guided my right shoulder back until I was laying flat on the exam table. “Just relax” “Have you taken any Tylenol or Motrin?” No “What about nasal decongestants” No She began palpating my underarm area then palpated my arms positioning them at my sides palms facing up. How old are we? 14 I replied. “When was the last time you were sick” Last year. She jot down some more notes then walked back over to the exam table. I to this day remember her looking up at the door to make sure it was closed and no one there. She walked down to my ankles and lifted my sweatpants to expose them and briefly palpated them. She made eye contact “I need you to take Tylenol and motrin alternating every 4-6 hours as needed to keep your temperature down” I could feel her palm resting below my belly button. “I am going to talk to dad but can you do that for me” I replied yes. “Good” All of a sudden I could feel her palm slide lower and hook the elastic of my sweatpants and briefs and without warning she lifted up exposing my genitalia for her to see. If this wasn’t already too much both her hands then grasped my waistbands and pulled them down to just above my knees. I was completely exposed. She gently palpated my inguinal lymph nodes and in a playful voice said “you are swollen everywhere” she checked my left inner thigh and then right inner thigh. I was in a state of disbelief. I was so embarrassed I couldn’t keep up with her questioning “are any of your friends sick too” I went from staring at the ceiling to trying to see what she was doing to me and noticed she kept watching the door. She briefly touched under my scrotum but didn’t thoroughly examine my testicles. My penis started to stiffen up and tip had a drop of precum when she quickly pulled everything back up. She slid her arm under my mid back and guided me back upright legs hanging off the table. She walked over to the counter to finish her notes. My dad walked in and in a very energized tone she told him “the game plan” and that she was also going to write a script for antibiotics to be safe.

About 30 years ago went to a new doctor as my old doctor had retired. New doctor was a young female just out of residency. Up to this point the most I ever had to remove was my shirt and I never had anything examined below the waist and expected the same with this doctor. I never had a female doctor and was rather nervous. When the MA took me to the exam room she weighed me, measured my height, took my temperature, pulse. Oxygen level, and blood pressure. She then told me to undress completely to my underwear and the doctor would be in shortly. The MA was very young and very pretty, I had not idea what the doctor looked like. Knock on the door and the doctor walked in and introduced herself. She was very pretty and only a few years younger than me I was definitely anxious and nervous. She proceeded to do a thorough exam, and I thought I was home free when she asked if she could check me for a hernia and examine my testicles. She actually took my hands in her hands and taught me how to exam myself. I got a rock hard erection, was very embarrassed. She was actually great and told me it was normal and it was no big deal. She is still my doctor and still examines my testicles and now does a prostate exam. There is nothing uncomfortable about it between us. I have a bit of erectile dysfunction at my age and she actually prescribed some meds for it. The first time I mentioned the ED to her she laughed and said, do you removed the first time we met? You couldn’t control your erection and now your asking me help you with it nothing is uncomfortable when you get older

Why does it seem to be a nasty thing when a male gets an erection from being handled? I'm pretty sure females become aroused too but it's just not as obvious. Somehow it must be our parents teaching us that as if they were never young themselves.

At my age they can't do, say or ask anything that would embarrass me and I would love to get an erection. If that ever happened I'd ask her to take a picture of it.

Not only parents, but think of the proverbial nurse/supervisor/attendant giving erections a nice wack with a ruler during school exams ...

As for parents, it is quite hypocritical acting as if they themselves were chaste little angels when young.
