Try to wet your stethoscope

Today, when i was auscultating my heart, i was sweating. Whole my body was wet. But i heard my heart much better on all valves.

Later that day, i wet my chestpiece before i move it to my chest, and the sound was clearer and louder.

Try to wet your stethoscope before you listen, and write about your experience. Is it something about it?

I do listen to my heart after exercising and it sounds nice and loud but I've always put it down to having worked out hard rather than the sweat on my chest. I'll give it a try though. 👍

How wet should it be?

The chestpiece should be wet, so you use what you have. I think it would be more against the skin. And the sound would be more clear, special against the heart.

Yes, done this with a little lube on the diaphragm, slides lovely over the chest or back as well as i think sounds are better ?

Something like ky jelly ?
