Hi allI've been taking enemas for 25 years and always enjoyed them without any ill effect. In general I probably have an opportunity to have a series once every 7-14 days and that normally consists of 2-3 enemas approx 2.5-3 quarts in size. I typically start with coffee, then a rinse or dr bronners soap and finally water with a little baking soda mixed in.In the past 5-6 weeks I've noticed a residual uncomfortable feeling in the days that follow this. It's hard to describe, but you know how your tummy feels when stressed/nervous? The uncomfortable feeling I have is like that, but without none of the side effects. I'm certain this is higher up my tract and I can feel when waste is passing through this area in the days that follow because the discomfort increases while it's doing so.I don't know what to put this down to, I think I've made up my mind to seek a doctors advice but I thought I'd see if I'm alone with this anyhow?I'm not getting any other negative effects and I'm otherwise in good health, so no upsets stomachs, diarrhoea or blood.I find after 2-3 days this feeling subsides but doesn't disappear completely sometimes flaring up unexpectedly, but returns strongly the next time I have enemas. I've tried probiotic yoghurts mixed into the final enema of a series as well as taken with food to see if that would help settle things with no obvious impact.Any advice?
