Ever been subjected to an anoscope?

Anyone have any stories to tell about a real life or play experience with one of these devices

I got one just before a rigid Sigmoidocsope exam

I’ve found when performing mock examinations, an anoscope easier to insert with a better view of the rectal interior, than using a two or three pronged speculum. There’s also less of a chance to pinch the rectum when removing.

Only in a play exam context. I have used an anoscope and had it used on me innumerable times, just never in a “legit” medical setting. It's enjoyable. My only caveat would be sometimes air can get in when you are that wide open, which is fine, unless you follow with an enema because the scope revealed it would do some good. Sometimes, that air with the enema after can lead to more cramping than usual. Make sure to use a flatus release device after the scope, and before the enema.

I had an anoscope at my last routine physical. New doctor…he is very, very thorough. At the point of this part of the exam I was completely nude and he had completed the genital exam. I was lying on the table on my left side, knees pulled towards my chest. Doctor performed the digital prostate and rectal exam and then said he wanted to “take a quick look inside me." He produced the clear plastic scope, lubricated it and inserted it. Removed the center portion and shined a small flash light inside. It wasn't at all uncomfortable and took about a minute or so. I was actually grateful to have it done.

Not. Yet.

At a gastroenterologist appointment once. After a prelim. meeting with the nurse and her questioning of me and symptoms I was experiencing she did the customary checking of vitals etc. and excused herself saying she would return in a few moments after passing on her findings of me to the physician. Within minutes she returned to my room and retrieved from the exam table under storage cabinet a cloth gown and I was instructed to remove my shoes , slacks, and underpants my choice for the visit being a new pair of tighty whities. Upon untying my shoes she said before departure to have the open back at my rear back and that she and my assigned physician would be seeing me in just a few minutes as she was finishing up on notes from a previous patient. I waited with a bit of baited breath and yet a bit of stirring emotion from all the previous decrees from her particularly recounting the edit of the manner of undressing needed for my examination. I soon heard verbal commentary headed in my direction and a clacking of hard sole shoes and next a knock upon my door occured and the entrance of the previous seen nurse and a quite attractive female doctor immediately introducing herself and a extended handshake to me. After recounting my previous info given to her nurse I was instructed to go to the exam table and become seated and then lie prone on my back as they became gloved in preparation for my exam. The exam began with my upper gown lowered downward to my waist line and my stomach and abdomen areas palpated and slightly pressed and asked if any pain or pressure was being felt and once I replied not at all I next was told to go onto my left side with knees drawn upward particularly my right side . Upon this the nurse placed a section of examining table paper such as what was underneath me across my drawn knees to waist area and retrieve the anoscope and k-y jelly tube from a cabinet drawer across from me and my sight passing the instrument to the doctor and herself uncapping the lube and proceeded to squeeze it upon the plastic orifice . I next had the upper papering raised upward and folded over upon me and the nurse performing a buttock spread of me wherein I next had a inserted physicians finger inserted deeply and the scope slowly entering with a bit of twist , turn, and push forward and upward toward my navel as I winced from the unfamiliar protrusion I was experiencing. The center section was next removed and a light of sorts handed to the doctor and after a bit of examining and viewing my internal rectum it soon was retracted and I next was tissue wiped by the nurse and told to return upward and seated followed by the finding explained to me by the doctor that it appeared to be a small fissure that could be taken care of by a another return visit by either her or another caregiver. Later returned to undergo the procedure and had the same two perform it. It was a very interesting experience to say the least. I incurred from both visits a sensation of arousal and also a bit of embarassment and humiliation in that in a kinky manner I felt somewhat emasculated due to our differing gender. Fretter

I just recently enjoyed the experience of receiving an anoscopy exam. It was the first time any object, other than a finger, has been up my butt (not including colonoscopies and surgery when I was unconscious), so it was definitely a new sensation. I must say, it is quite intimidating to be staring at that table, the anoscope, and a big glob of lube while waiting on the doctor to arrive. I've read stories and seen videos of the tilting table sometimes used for these exams. So needless to say, anxiety was definitely through the roof.

The doctor was a male colo rectal surgeon, which is just the current term for proctologist, early 40's. After asking if he could "take a peek" told me to go to the table, lower my pants and underwear to my thighs, lie on my left side, and bend both knees. I was actually a little disappointed I didn't get the experience of bending over the tilting table and the embarrassment that goes along with it. He covered me with a drape, gloved up, and placed a device on his head that held a light on his lower forehead. He spent a long time just looking and touching my anus, all without lube. He was really stretching, poking, and felt like he inserted his finger partially into my anus. That was the worst part of the whole exam, it was a little on the uncomfortable side. He then informed me he was also going to do a “gentle” exam and take a look. I heard him wheel over on his stool to retrieve the lube and scope.

This was my first time to experience a DRE while lying on my left side. My PCP always examines my prostate with me standing, bent over the table. To be honest, I never really feel much when my normal doctor does it. For some reason, I felt every bit of this doctors finger. When he first penetrated me, I thought it was the scope. I originally thought it was odd that he didn't start with his finger, but who am I to complain. I felt every movement his finger made in me. Twisting it, pulling partially out and then reinserting, more pressure here and there. I'm definitely a fan of DRE on my left side! Even though he didn't examine or even touch my prostate, that was way better than what my PCP has ever done in my rectum.

Him pulling out was a… weird feeling. I thought to myself, “that wasn't so bad”. I didn't realize he had just used his finger on me until he said, “almost done”. Suddenly I felt something else knocking at my backdoor. OK, I thought, he needs another look at something. “Deep breath”… And in it went. It wasn't painful, not really even uncomfortable. Not sure I would say it felt good, just a kind of weird, different, fullness. When he pulled out, it kind of felt like I was pooping. I didn't like that feeling.

He was also the first doctor to ever wipe the lube off me. He actually spread my cheeks and really got in there too. It went on forever, he made sure to get all of it. It was actually starting to feel a little uncomfortable. While I appreciated his effort, and vigor, I was a little disappointed. I kind of enjoy walking out of the doctors office with that squishy feeling between my cheeks. I love the gentle reminder of what just happened.

Never.. It make me fear a lot!!

Maybe someday I will but my urologist just does a yearly psa on me. Rectal is better than nothing lol

A couple of times with a rigid sigmoidoscope, yes. Anoscope, no.

Never before.

I have had a clear plastic anoscope used on me a couple of times during play exams. Being clear, it gave the play doc a good view of my insides and was comfortable for me, as there were no blades to pinch when opening or closing, as happens with a speculum 😧.

Had one for a physical in my early 40's. Not sure why, but it wasn't a big deal. Just had to prep the night/morning before.

Yes. I had my anus checked twice by anoscope. Two years ago I went to visit proctologist because of mild piles symptoms. The doctor was woman in her 60s. It was actually my first rectal exam.

After explaining everything she instructed me to slide down my pants and get into knee-elbow position on examination table. I couldn't really see much in that position and it took a moment of waiting with my bare butt raised because she took plastic disposable anoscope from one of the drawers. After that I felt something slippery slide inside my anus. She rotated anoscope slightly few times and moved it back. It took her maybe 10-15 seconds. After removing the scope she also checked the inside with finger for a moment and that was it.

Turned out I got Grade 1 piles and got prescribed with some strong suppositories which worked as the symptoms disappeared completely.

Second visit to the same doctor year later was quite similar. The only thing that changed was different office which had examination table quite high and in the middle of the room so I felt even more exposed than before. This time she didn't find any piles.

The anoscope is a transparent tube. There is no pain during insertion. There are also rectal mirrors. They are similar, but metal. With their introduction, the sensations are the same as from an anoscope, but then with the help of a mechanism they are widely moved apart. It even hurts a little, although not very much. Even as a child, I did not cry from this.

Sorry to hear it. Why fear? Did you ever have a DRE, rectal exam, enema, sigmoidoscope or anything else inserted that was painful?

I get hemorrhoids annoyingly easy, even with high fiber, so I've had multiple anoscopes. Had one after my first DRE, with 4 different primaries, and a colorectal surgeon. I've had plastic and metal. Best one was done by a primary that ran the metal scope under warm water first. At first I thought he had put a finger back in, until the slight pinch as the diameter increased across its taper. With my position and sims and his angle of approach, I could feel it sliding across my prostate on the way on. That's the only anoscopy that I felt any sensation there with. I prefer the digital exam, but if that is done following a thorough DRE, I'll take it.

I definitely don’t recall it. I was always curious to see how it feels, but I’m not going to go out of my way to ask for one.

I have in play. I liked it but for one thing. It went in very easy and it was a good size- stimulating but not painful. The issue is when the ‘doctor’ takes the obturator out it lets out any gas that might be in your rectum at the time. It’s a little embarrassing

At least it’s more of a “poof” than a loud vibrating “brrrrrriiiippppp”! 😃😃😃

Got one from an ex-military nurse (guy) during a play meet. He totally cleaned me out with several enemas before this. Was amazed how it opened me up and no pain. He took some pictures to show me after. No pain. Just some loud farts. Embarrassing but kinky.

I’ve had several as well, its not really bad At all. Mine have always followed a DRE, the lube gets excessive Mine typically lasted about a minute and a half, theres always been a swab taken to do a fecal blood test after insertion and removal of the arbitrator. Then the doctor slowly withdraws it changing angles as she goes. if you just relax it’s really not uncomfortable at all.

Several times in a role play examination

I’ve never had one of these. But I did see a plastic one in drawer in the exam table at my family doctors office A few times. Which really made me wonder how often they come out. Was someone in the waiting room going to have their ass probed in a few? Haha.

Once when I had severe diarrhea. The doctor had me laying on my back on the exam table with my legs in stirrups. He lubricated the plastic anoscope with KY jelly, pushed it in, had a quick look, then pulled it back out and handed me some Kleenex to wipe myself with. He then prescribed an antibiotic that I had to take for 2 weeks and gave me several sample tubes of a soothing cream with a short rectal tip to squeeze into my rectum several times a day to sooth the irritation.
