Examined while wearing a tampon

I love the idea of receiving a physical during my time of the month. Breasts would be heavy, tummy a little crampy and I'd likely have a visible tampon string. I imagine the doctor would be much gentler but still have to carry out the full examination. Curious to explore that more.

I have a friend whose annual exam was while she was having her period. The doctor, a female, skipped the internal but gave her a rectal exam and then had her return for an internal the following week.

In real life if pap I'm sure they tend to rebook as ut can affect the cytology report?

I wonder if at a routine checkup if straing hanging down once in position if would just perform external exam only, it may get you out of internal check or having labia separated?
