Former educators who've given spankings

Just as we have a number of medical professionals as members, both active and retired, there are certain to be teachers/educators here as members.

So I was wondering, especially about the older members in this category, if any have themselves carried out spankings/paddlings of students in their capacity as teacher/principle/coach …

I don't seem to have read anything about this yet. Many members have written about their punishments as a student. So let's hear from the other side of the paddle. Anyone who has doled out physical punishments as a teacher?

If so, what feelings or thoughts crossed your mind when doing so?
