Curious to know if any men have been in stirrups for an exam and why. About two years ago I was experiencing some erection issues so went for an evaluation, which included a doppler ultrasound to assess blood flow to my penis.

Because the base of the penis actually starts inside you near the anus the doctor told me they needed to use the ultrasound both on my perineum as well as the base and shaft of my penis. I was instructed to strip from the waist down, like back on the table and put my feet in the stirrups. He then examined my testicles and penis for any issues and then used the doppler wand first on my perineum (coming very, very close to my anus) and then the full shaft of my penis. It was interesting to hear the blood flow on the computer capturing the ultrasound images. I struggled to not get an erection and didn't, but I could definitely feel the blood beginning to move in that direction.

It's easy and cheap enough to buy a folding massage table which can double for a simple exam table. And the handymen amongst us could surely rig up a pair of stirrups to attach ...

I have one (minus stirrups as i'm not a handyman I guess ... ha ha) in my house in Spain. Pix are in my albums ....draped with white cloth/towels/sheets it works wonderfully well as an exam table.

Almost always after the genital examination standing I am asked to lay back on the table and put in stirrups for a more extensive testicular examination and then prostate

Yes, 😃 2 weeks ago I was in that much pain I called for an ambulance and I was admitted to the local 'base' hospital. After MRI and scanning it was diagnosed the I have a kidney stone STUCK in my (L) ureter and when my bed was wheeled alongside a table for me to get onto, I asked was "this a lathotomy chair?" They wanted to know had I been looking up DR GOOGLE. My answer, "no, I was a medical photographer and I had photographed many patients in the 'sexy' devices not thinking that I would ever be in one myself. OK, stone still stuck in my ureter and a stent inserted from my (L) kidney past the stone and emptying into my bladder until the 29th AUG to have it 'blasterd' out. Lots of pain still but the surgeon said "more news, you have another inoperable stone in your (R) kidney that we can't get at, at the moment. Wonderful, meaning that I have to go through all of this shit again. I can't wait. regards, irrigator333.

and yes, stirrups I've had myself in and it was great except they were metal ones and hard on the feet while the doc, a play doc, gave me an electro butt plug that had me writhing and cumming far too soon.

No, and I have never been offered that type of exam table usage. Maybe because I only go to male doctors and internist?

Yes, many times...The first time was when I had a vasectomy. Male doctor and female nurse assistant. The next time was when I was prepped for placement of a stent due to a kidney stone. Three weeks later I was in that familiar position to remove the stent with a cystoscope. Being probed via the penis and rectum, aside from a bladder or anal enema (irrigation), isn't usually much fun

While I have not enjoyed the position and procedures due to actual medical needs on numerous occasions, I have enjoyed being put in stirrups for play exams that included prostate massage, enemas, and semen extraction. Play nurses surely are far more fun than doctors and professional medical staff!

I had a TUNA (Trans Urethral Needle Ablation) procedure on my prostate and I was in stirrups. They used a rigid cystoscope for the procedure and did a transrectal ultrasound to set the depth of penetration of the needle.
