Recycle Disposable Razors?

Does anyone know if razors must be completely clean in order to be recycled? It seems pretty difficult to wash the last remaining bits of conditioner/oil and stubble out from the heads.

I use my portable water flosser (dental water jet) to clean my razors when they accumulate too much gunk. It's a nifty affordable device for cleaning teeth, kitchen utensils and hard to reach crevices and corners.

Regarding your second question… I don't think you need to clean them. They recycle the plastic and metal material, not the actual blade itself.

I'm going off topic here… but everyone should get a water flosser if they haven't already. It's one of those few consumer technologies that have dropped tremendously in price and clearly provide significant health benefits. I floss my teeth daily using string and tape floss, but even those can't clean all the food particles and pockets of bacteria along the gums like a water flosser does.
