Brainwashed by society?

When I was little I always felt there was a desperate effort by various groups to promote the idea a bare butt wasn't nudity or sexual. Many movies I watched were rated PG and had scenes with bare-butted women. Various beaches and water parks I visited had women wearing thonged bikini bottoms. There was also, of course, hospitals with their hospital gowns that left a patient's rear end uncovered. Was anyone ever persuaded by hospital staff or others that as long as all their other parts were covered, having their behind seen didn't qualify as being seen naked? Anyone been told they could keep their nakedness hidden when having their temperature taken like a baby?

Can't say I recall any talk like that as a kid or an adult. I don't recall ever being given an on-your side RT, only tummy down ones, so your penis didn't show if your legs were together. I do recall one school physical in the gym, where they had the boys only in jockstraps. And the doctor did rectal exams, this was an exam for the track team. I was 15, I think. I ran track in High School and had sports physicals before being allowed to go out for track-related sports, each year.

I never heard of such nonsense. I wish it were true. The best I could do was wear my thong bikini bathing suit. Since we were an island with a beach, you could get away with wearing it in town during summer as a teenager or young adult.

Its really not the butt at all people just make so dirty and its really not a big deal .

Standards are always subject to change, according to the time and place. When I was young, during the 70’s, people were more carefree about their bodies, and if someone was offended, nobody cared, and speech wasn’t politicized or censored. In fact, it was encouraged.

Are we really so far through the looking glass now that we're considering being made NOT to be embarrassed to be brainwashing?
