Still looking to get spanked with dad's strop.

Anyone's thoughts? When, as an adult, I fantasize about getting an authentic spanking with “daddy's” strop, which I'm assuming would require bondage, I wonder if I could ever actually trust “daddy” enough to let him deliver the real thing no matter how much I protested. On the flip side, I wonder also if I could ever deliver an authentic stropping to a partner who is under bondage, no matter how much he protested? Anyone else confront and solve this dilemma? Maybe that's where a build up of trust has to happen first? Pre-spanking limits agreed to first, or is it all about Daddy knowing just what enough is? Does practice make perfect over time?

These are all topics that swim around in my head constantly, given that my real dad never spanked me or my siblings, with his razor strop (which he did own) or any other appliance, and I've spent all my life very much wishing that he had. So what's up with that “Daddy”?

There is always a difference between fantasy and reality. In my fantasy, I go much more to the extreme, than I'd ever want in a real life situation. Strapping or whipping or caning, etc. can all be part of the game. Bondage, however, (when being spanked) is not something you do on a first date. It takes time to reach that point of trust and knowing that the one administering the spanking will never go too far and respects your boundaries. The same goes for letting the Dominant partner decide how hard and how much/how long you'll get. But I do think you can get that far, and I have sort of experienced such situations. Those experiences were really nice, but again, I would never allow someone to do that to me if there weren't a deep build trust, friendship, etc. I've been in bondage and not in bondage when I got serious spankings in the past. But all were given with Love and respect. So it is possible. But when you for example just start out together, you can't go that far. It's a matter of building up, not only spanking-wise, but especially in learning to trust each other, and getting to know each other!

You could use a safe word, which is the smart thing to do. Or just tell them not to give mercy unless you tell them to stop which is bassicly like the safe word technique. But like Anja said you can't just trust anyone to be restrained with. You have to build trust.

I take it you mean a razor strop. I was never spanked with one of those, my dad didn't have one. Does it hurt more than a leather belt on the bare bottom?

Perhaps, if you had really been tanned with that razor strop, your desire to be punished with it might not exist. Speaking for myself, I always craved spankings, even though my Southern mom spanked the five of us a lot.

As the saying goes “be careful what you wish for”… I remember having a fantasy about being spanked with the paddle that originally was sold with a ball attached to it with an elastic string - it was a common toy when I was young and the paddle was kept after the ball had broken off.

I can distinctly recall the sound of the strop making a whack with an echo. This was because the heavy leather strop hit first, and the canvas strop hit a fraction of a second later. Evidently the strops caused friction, as our tender little behinds heated up quickly. After about the third lick, most of the feeling had disappeared but it always seemed to pay to put on a loud show with lots of tears. If the act was dramatic enough, Dad usually let up or quit altogether.

That's one implement I do not fantasize about. Growing up close to a barber shop and hanging around it, I saw the strop and it scared me as I knew of it being used to punish (though no memory of how that came to be now).

Oh dear, I'm in possession of a home made leather strop and all I will say is that it REALLY bites, even with medium stokes. That old gal takes no prisoners.

I got spanked with a razor strop one time when I was a teen. It was horribly painful. Why would I want to re-live that experience? I have no idea. It's irrational, but I'd like a “dad” to reintroduce me to the strop.
