When i was 10 y.o. an unknown male physician gave me my first sports physical for school, including a hernia exam. That was the first time I ever had to expose my genitals and have them examined with the doctor sitting inches in front of me. In fact, I never even knew that was a thing until then.
The following year my usual female pediatrician gave me my sports physical. It was the first time I ever went to her other than a sickness visit. So she had never given me a physical, and I was extremely nervous as I flashed back to memories of the the previous year. As the physical progressed, I was lying on the table in only my tighty whities and she was examining my abdomen. She just kept going lower until she lifted up my waistband with her right hand and stuck her left hand in my underwear and felt all around groin, right up to my scrotum and penis. Never actually palpated my genitals though. My head was spinning. Then she grabbed my waistband with both hands and pulled it way up and down, completely exposing my genitals. She did it with such force I actually lifted my hips up thinking she was trying to pull them down or off. She just stood there staring at my stuff for what felt like forever. I was soooo embarrassed.
Finally, she replaced my underwear and told me to stand up next to the table. She actually grabbed both my arms at my sides and turned me so I was at a 90 degree angle to the table and facing her. I thought, this is it! I know what happens last at these things! I was so filled with dread, anxiety, and nervousness I was actually getting light headed. Then she turned to the counter and grabbed her stethoscope. She came over to me and listened to my chest and back in a few places each. As she turned and walked to the door, she told me to get dressed.
I was very embarrassed that she stuck her hand in my underwear and felt around, then completely looked me over. But was also extremely relieved that I didn't have to stand right in front of her naked and have her touch me there while I coughed. It was the last time I ever went to her. It is also the only time I remember being auscultated while standing upright.
